I wonder if the Chargers are going to blow the roster up. 2-4 and surely Staley is out after this year.
They have Bosa and Mack. Wouldn't have them at the top of my shopping list but just thinking what could potentially be available.

Yeah. I was honestly surprised Staley managed to keep his job last year. His decision making in week 16 or week 17 of last year cost them Mike Williams availability wise in their loss to us in the play-off's and he personally calls their defense and it's really their weakest link in my opinion in spite of having guys like Bosa, Mack & James on it.
He probably won't survive the full year if they slip to 7 losses. I could see Kellen Moore getting a chance to interview early as a head coaching candidate out there. The problem with Mack and Bosa is their salary situations. Allen is just outside the top five at his position in terms of current salary this year but I believe Mack is top three, if not, top billing and Bosa rounds out the 5th spot.

I thought they'd be better this year and it's a loaded roster but play nowhere near their potential. I wouldn't be surprised to see Staley fired in the season and Moore getting a shot and a tryout for being made HC.
You'd definitely be paying for Mack and Bosa's name and reputation and not what they've done on the field. Just looking on overthecap, their numbers this year are Bosa $15.7m and Mack $16.6m but their numbers explode next season with Bosa $36.6m and Mack $38.5m. That's absurd money.
Their dead cap hits for the Chargers are huge so can't see them taking a big chunk of the money to make a trade more likely.
Looking at it like that, yeah no one is making that trade.
They could have a good OL Tackle/Guard, doesn't Jamaree Salyer play for them. Not sure how he is doing this year but they had him at tackle last year and he did ok.

He's good. One of my favorite Bulldogs over the past few years. I wanted him during that draft and was screaming for him around here in those draft day threads.
Really liked his versatility in college and was bummed when Baalke traded up to get Snoop Conner and didn't think about Salyer at all. He would be a massive addition and upgrade to our current situation.
I think we could be in a good position to land our Center, Van Pran towards the end of RD1 next year. He would be ideal. Either him or Cooper Beebe out of Kansas St. to help bolster the interior.
Fortner at this point can be moved to RG in my opinion. Just doesn't seem strong enough to anchor it down in the middle and maybe taking some of the mental work and physical snap out of the equation would maximize him more at guard.
Apparently the Panthers refused an offer for Brian Burns from the Rams, two first rounders and a second rounder. I can't imagine trading that much for any pass rusher right now, convince me otherwise.

I would give that in a heart beat for Myles Garrett.
He's the best pass rusher and best defensive player in the league.

As poor as the chargers are I don’t think they’ll be selling, they have a talented roster and franchise qb . Think they’ll try their luck with a new head coach before trading away the talent.
As stated earlier I think chase young and Montez sweat are the most likely candidates. The problem been we can only offer a 5th rounder at best and there’s every chance we get outbid . 2nd,3rd and 4th picks all tied to Ridley

Same. Not only does the value seem overkill for Burns, it also doesn't sound like something the Rams can afford to do right now, let alone, need to do.

Well, in the off season after the he signed he claimed to have "fixed" the Jag locker room problem last year. Maybe without the players the Jags have he failed to do the same in Tennessee. OR the Titans recognize they need a total rebuild and want to stash draft picks and off load pricey contracts. They gave Arden a 7 x 3 year deal with 13mill guaranteed. (21 total) While he is a good player that's a lot for us going into next year.
