3rd round pick for a 9 game rental. Young is a FA after this season.

understandable since he's due for renewal at the end of the season. The key takeaway here is the Burrs got fleeced in their deal. SFO's pick is gonna be at the back end of the 3rd, while the Burrs' 2nd will likely be at the top. Mind you Young costs more against this year's cap than Sweat does, but the Burrs are proving why they remain in the cellar.

The 49ers are on bye week this week as well after a big losing skid. They haven't looked like their dominant selves over the past month. Purdy looks average, McCaffery gets his yardage. Their defense can keep them in games but like our last few games, they've been ugly except the 49ers have ended up on the short end of the stick. Lets make sure they stay losing if they don't come over and play well.

Purdy can't make every throw. That's what is ultimately setting them back now. Their defense cannot take a game off and McCaffrey is really the primary threat. Which bodes well in our favor anyway run defense wise.
I watched those last two losses with them. Purdy is either over confident in his ability or he's simply not seeing the defense that's being presented to him. He's been especially bad with his decision making and ball placement over the middle of the field in zone coverages.
Aiyuk was back in their line-up last week I think. Samuel has been out still I believe. I really, really think our team is going to keep a distance on the scoreboard with them here at home. I expect us to win by 14 or more points.
Just a gut feeling.

Keep in mind that Purdy had a concussion halfway through the Vikings game and probably was rushed back from it for the Bengals.
I highly doubt that we run away with it, but this is yet again a measuring stick game for our guys.

I think the 49ers are on the ropes and they're desperate. A three game losing streak is nothing to sneeze at. There's some key concerns with that football team.
It starts with Purdy. They're officially tailing Seattle now by a game. They have a chance to go into Baltimore and apply even more pressure this Sunday on the 49ers by moving up to 6 - 2.
Looking at their schedule. The only notable win came against the Cowboys. Everyone else is 50/50 at best. The Steelers are not an offensive powerhouse. The Giants and Cardinals suck. They beat the Rams by 1 TD. They lost to Cleveland, Minnesota and Cincinnati.
When Purdy has been tasked with going against a quality defense he's shown that he's turnover prone. They've averaged 17 PPG over the last three weeks. After starting off scoring 30+ PPG. If we keep McCaffrey in check I expect it to be a long day for them. Not us.
Our team is peaking at the right time while they're sinking at the wrong time. This could be that game we've been looking for all year. Where the offense finally takes over.

I get what your saying but the Niners are a legit SB contender. Shanahan is the best O mind in the league and he does sometimes out-think himself, they can hurt you in a lot of different ways and Samuel has been a big loss for them. Purdy does what they need him to do. Find the open guy and don't turn the ball over. They've let games get away from them a bit lately so had to ask Purdy to do more and that's where the mistakes have happened.
The big worry with the Niners is Wilks as DC. They lost Salah and Ryan's to HC positions and Wilks was doing a pretty good job but he cost them the game against Minnesotta with some dumb blitz calls then cost them against the Bengals by being too cautios. The D players seem to be getting frustrated as does Shanahan so it will be interesting to see how Wilks plays this one.
The Niners are a wounded animal right now and could just as likely come out swinging than hurting. Them having a bye helps them as allows them to work on some things and fix problems.

They’re desperate, they will be getting key players back, and Shanny has a BYE week to put together a great offensive game plan.
However, Jags will also be getting back key personnel and Dougy P will be ready.
Should be a great game.

Absolutely, think this will be a great game. The Niners will be a tough team to beat but I think we can win this. We need to play well and execute well, we can't have mistakes and silly penalties but Doug has a week to prepare for this one too and we do pretty well against the top teams.
A win would be a great way to kick off a tough run and give this team some real belief.

We've been shutting down every back we've gone against so far this year. It's another dink and dump offense and like what was said, Purdy can't make every throw and there is now film on him. I feel like our offense can score whenever they touch the ball but having Zay back and healthy is an important factor in our ability to stretch the field apparently.

I'm so happy the jags are winning, but holy cow I hate having a thursday game into no football on sunday, then 1 game followed by the bye week. I know it's good for the team, but its so annoying lol.

Because it is disrespectful. Especially when you consider we're on a 5 game winning streak and they're on a 3 game losing streak. Our defense is better. Our QB is better. Our skill position group is better.
I wouldn't be shocked at all coming out of this bye week with our team thumping them by 14+. I expect them to mop the floor with them now. Looking for Walker's breakout game of 2023 in this one in particular.
Purdy continues to show issues with ball security and if you take McCaffrey out of the equation he turns into a duck on water and a mistake or two just waiting to happen.
I expect them to try and do exactly what the Saints did. Quick hitters, easy routes over the middle, isolation attempts with McCaffrey on our linebacking core and an occasional shot or two taken deep for Aiyuk or Samuel.
I bet we'll stay disciplined like we always have this year on defense and our zone coverage looks will result in at least two interceptions off of Purdy.
He's been bad about reading zone coverages over the middle. It showed in their losses to the Vikings and Bengals. Something Oluokon and Lloyd have been excelling at this year.

I was more worried about the Steelers than the 49'ers game. They are on a skid but we can extend that because of our D. We CAN shut down McCaffrey with our very good run defense, but not only that our offense is overdue for a breakout game. I don't see our defense regressing and our offense has the talent to improve greatly on any given week. Jags 34- 49'ers 17
