So, about Lochte...were he and his teammates being extorted?

Quote:Because there is one why right here. Why can't you read? Do you not know who to scroll up or go back a page? Do you find it that hard to internet? Your local community college probably has computer classes you could take.

As annoying as he can be, I kind of see his point here. The example you're using is more in the category of changing your mind than being wrong about something. You can't really be "wrong" with an opinion...

There does seem to be more to the story than just him lying to get out of trouble...

I guess? I don't see much of a difference to having a position and changing it based on new information and just being wrong about a fact. I see your point though.
Quote:So you're saying that you're a liberal?

I think I'm liberal in the sense that I have an education that allows me to see the benefits of capitalism as well as the draw backs of it.

I think I'm libertarian in the sense that I believe that the right and prosperity of the individual creates peace for all.

I'm a conservative in the sense that I believe the Constitution is the best system to execute the social contract within a post-industrial modern society.

I think I'm a progressive because I have kids that I have faith in and know that they will be smarter than me.

I think I'm open minded because I don't hate those generations that come behind me like you do.

So what do you consider yourself?

You label me as "you liberal".  I don't think I'm a "you liberal" In the hateful way that you define "you liberal".  But then again, I don't hate anyone the way that you hate "you liberals".  So tell me, can you find peace in yourself enough to let go of your hateful speech?

I label you as a person that hasn't really thought any of this through.  So prove me wrong.

I believe you have (1) and (3) mixed up. My education allows me to know that a conservative would never use "social contract" when referring to the Constitution.

(4) believing in your children is not a "progressive" idea.

(5) I've never seen JIB hate on all the generations that came before him. Having issues with some of them is not outright hate, so that's not really open minded of you.
