There are several players who have accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl whom the Jaguars staff will likely have a close eye on. Although I'm not sure which of the players listed below will be coached by the Jaguars or Cowboys staffs, they still will have special the opportunity to have close access to all. These are the players I'm most interested in based on the greatest needs of the Jaguars:
Offensive Line:
Jason Spriggs
John Theus
Kyle Murphy
Spencer Drango
Sebastian Tretola (guard)
Vadal Alexander
Defensive Tackle:
Vernon Butler
Austin Johnson
Defensive End:
Noah Spence
Carl Nassib
Shawn Oakman
Linebacker:
Jordan Jenkins
Antonio Morrison (middle)
Erik Striker
Tyler Matakevich
Free safety:
Jalen Mills
Darian Thompson
Although none of these players will be 1st rounders (pick 5), I could certainly see our 2nd rounder being taken from this list. Spence, Spriggs, Jenkins and Thompson may fit at that spot. Beyond that, there are several others who could impress the staff enough to selelect them in a later round.
Which other players (either on this list or another invitee) are you most anxious to see?
Keep an eye of Joe Schobert as well. His style of play would be perfect for the OTTO position.
I like Sebastian Tretola alot but don't think we need him.
Schobert did have a very impressive year and would definitely fit the Leo. The staff will have a great opportunity to see if he has the physical traits required to have the same impact in the NFL as he did during his senior year.
Correction, I meant the Otto.
Shilique Calhoun? Ka'imi Fairbairn?
And it might also help us if some of the QBs and WRs shine at the senior bowl. If other teams are picking those players, it gives us a better chance of getting the players we want.
I'm looking at 2 FS possibilities
Miles Killebrew- 6'3 230
dont think this guy is going to Senior Bowl but also wanting to see more of Jayron Kearse who's 6-5 and 220
In terms of FS I'd like to see some good length.
Killebrew is a SS.
Kearse can probably play FS though.
I like Deandre Houston-Carson as a FS

From what I've read, he's going in as an FS.
Spence is the guy that I'm intrigued in. Should Bosa and Ramsey go off the board before #5, it puts the Jags in a bit of a dilemma because the next "rated" players in the top 5 would be tackles and QBs. The QBs we absolutely don't need, and while you can argue that an improvement on Luke can be made, I don't know that we're quite ready to invest another top pick on a tackle yet.
I'm trying to come up with my top 5 (Bosa/Ramsey are 1 and 2), and I'm having a bit of a tough time on who I'd want to be available when the Jags are on the clock. Enter Noah Spence, who is a highly talented yet troubled player. Former 5 star recruit by Meyer and Buckeyes, he had drug problems (ecstacy) which led to his suspension and his eventual exodus to EKU where surprised...he's blossomed.
I'd let him compete with Fowler for the LEO and OTTO spots. Need to see him more against top competition (and hopefully he goes to South team so Gus and group can get a feel for his character)

From what I've seen of him. Unless he's become a lot more fluid he's going to be a SS, maybe even a LB.
Sean Davis from Maryland is another guy to keep an eye on. Played CB and Safety at Maryland five forced fumbles this year and had 3 INTs.

We certainly
do need a tackle, but not in the first round.
Dante Fowler is going to be a Week 1 starter.

Not many 230 pound free safeties in the league. Unless he's running a ridiculous 40 time most teams will want him to play strong side, if not linebacker.
Shawn Oakman will make an interesting defensive line prospect for whoever picks him up. I don't see him as a second day pick but his potential is through the roof if he's coached up properly.

Isn't 230 small for a linebacker?

Telvin Smith says, who you calling small?

LOL I heard his size is what dropped him to the third day of the draft.

And failing a drug test.

Intersteing prospect. Best guess as to what round he will be drafted?
