Just like Pagano was surely gone?

Quote:He gone, it's just a matter of where at this point.

Was Pagano interviewing with multiple teams to be their next head coach? Or was Pagano a part of a cokehead's demented fantasy about running an NFL team into the turf?
So, Marrone coaches the Bills to 6-10 and 9-7 and everyone thinks he's the HC savior?  Wha..

Quote:I bet they [Cleveland]would beat us.
They had two chances to do so the last three seasons and didn't do it.

Both of those seasons were under Bradley and Caldwell.

What, besides persistent negativity, prompts you to think the results would be any different now that we have a QB and receivers and a TE?
Pagano couldn't interview with numerous teams to be a head coach because he was still under contract.

Yes, and your point?

Marrone IS interviewing with multiple teams and is not prohibited from leaving by a contract. Marrone is a good coach who will most likely get a job as a head man somewhere in the next few weeks. I don't know what you're trying to do here but your comparison isn't very good. Had Pagano left the clots he too would get a job somewhere else in short order.
The only parallel I was making is assuming he is gone simply because reports link him to interviewing with different teams. Many reports linked Pagano to be being axed but he is still there.

Ah, ok.
I think he is to interview with the Dolphins soon and eagles too if I'm not mistaken

That's pretty much all he's got.

Considering that Rex Ryan had arguably better players this year and went 8-8, yes, Marrone is a solid option for NFL teams.
We're probably gonna lose him.
just don't take the browns job, Doug.

They're going to be hard-pressed to hire a respectable coach with some experience.  That organization is a mess.  If he leaves,  After his experience in Buffalo, I'm actually surprised that he even agreed to interview.

One thing I learned early on when job searching, right after college, is that unless you've already accepted a job, you never say no to an interview. Even if you have zero interest in actually taking the job if offered, you have nothing to lose by sitting down in front of someone who could encounter later on in your career, or someone who might not have a need for you right now but knows someone else that might.

I learned the same.
Good point.

Yep.  You never turn down an interview.
This is interesting.

Quote:Report: Browns players worried about Marrone

Doug Marrone | JAC

(January 7, 2016 5:31 PM EST)

Sources tell the Cleveland Plain Dealer that some Browns players are "concerned" about the possibility of Jaguars OL coach Doug Marrone replacing Mike Pettine.

Marrone earned a miserable reputation during his two years in Buffalo, something highlighted by the fact that he couldn't even get a coordinating job after quitting on his team following last season. Bills players openly celebrated his resignation, and derided him as having too much of a college mindset. However, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Marrone is a big believer in analytics. The Browns are going all in on numbers this offseason. They'll have to decide if Marrone's apparent lack of human touch is worth it.

This makes me feel better about wearing the same pants several days in a row.
