I thought Mariota looked very poised and with only one threat no less. Blake did some nice things. But i still dont know why Faulk saying he thought Mariota played better was a slight to Borltes? 

Mariota with 22 completions, roughly 20 of them were checkdowns to the TE.

I have no idea, they're just salty because Bortles had  2 really bad turnovers and failed to capitalize against a beat up defense. I thought both guys played pretty well considering the horrible blocking by both lines, and the serious lack of any support cast for Mariota. Overall it was an ugly game between two really bad teams.

Mariota is very poised, probably his best trait. Luckily for us he can't or won't complete a pass further than 10 yards. Give me Blake anyday, trashville can keep the checkdown artist.

That's the difference between MM and BB5...

 

Even with his weapons earlier in the season, MM continuously checked down game in and game out...

 

Kendall Wright, for the most part, took a 5 yard slant 60 yards for the TD.

 

BB5, on the other hand, throws the ball down field more often - allowing his receivers to make big plays. His gunslinger gameplay comes with mistakes too, but he has made a lot more great plays than he has bad plays... Just his ability to extend plays on every snap and survive the rush with our putrid offensive line should be praised immensely.

I dont disagree glad we won the ugly game. Ill take it. What do you think about Gus's game plan today?

If/when he starts looking downfield more, yes he will be a very good QB. It's kind of the opposite of Bortles, who needs to reign it in a bit. Looks like both teams have a good QB for the future but it sounds like you like mariota more.

He also mentioned pregame that the jags would win 9-3 and that Anger would be the mvp. The way he said all that was so condescending and it almost looked like he was pissed to be there.

Did you think Mariota played better than Bortles?

Im A Jag fan I dont like any division opponent. But I know a good player when I see one. And to be honest there was a huge debate in the college forum about Mariota, Winston, Borltes, Carr, Manziel and a few others. I wanted the Jags to draft Mariota.But he decided to go back to school.
