Faulk and Eisen were throwing major shade at the game and the Jags but Irving shut them down.

Michael talked about how he loves watching the process and he loves seeing teams turn franchises around. He loved The Allens and I'll take his word over Faulks any day of the week when it comes to WR's.

Looked to me like Mariota has a hard time throwing to the sideline. It looks like he has to put everything into it just to get it there with enough speed.
Mariota has a noodle arm and questionable physicality.

I feel like Im sleeping with the enemy with this fan base

That is because he was a National Champion and had to work hard with a bad Dallas team and break through and move above the losing to become Superbowl Champion.  Marshal Faulk played with the best his whole career and didn't have to work through anything.

I'm glad Michael put his demons to bed and seems to have his life in order.  I'm still sad for J Smith and wish him the best.

lol, You have to wonder when Michael Irvin is the voice of reason.
Quote:Did Mariota turn the ball over? Did he make quick reads? Did he put some touch on the passes? Did he use his legs well? He's extremely limited as far as weapons. He played well relatively speaking. I gave bortles his props dont get your panties twisted.
Did he win the game for his team? That's the most important stat. He had moments in the game and then he had moments where he threw the ball at his receivers feet. Btw he never lead his team into the red zone once all night either. Please take this garbage somewhere else. Mariota looked very average.
Wait....

Eminem played better than BB5?

Why? Because he didn't throw an INT?

Because he doesn't have Bortles' weapons?

C'mon man. Eminem dinks and dunks (and gets a lucky bounce or two every game) all the way to 70% comp.

His only TD drive was aided by two PI calls, one of which was not just questionable but downright awful.

And the D bit on a run and he was uncovered on a QB keeper.

Bortles was under CONSTANT pressure from their pass rush.

Bortles came through. He made plays, he gave his guys a chance. And he bounced back from a couple of mistakes (INT, fumble--forward progress or or not, protect the ball)

Eminem isn't there yet. Just because they choose to coddle their young QB and we chose to unleash ours, doesn't make safe betty better.

MM is what we thought he was: under-strength arm but pretty accurate, good brains but not big enough to survive the NFL.

well... you and I can agree on that, to a point....

I won't say he can't survive in the NFL... way too early for that.

I'm glad we got our QB when we did.

And I'd take Winston over Eminem, but the character issues would have me concerned.

Of recent QBs....

Bortles

Carr

Winston

Teddy

MM

What are the chances of all 5 being the next big 5 of the NFL?

Slim.

I think the bottom two will need superior talent around them always. Strong D, good run games, etc.

Whereas I think the top 3 are the guys that eventually will grow into QBs that make people around them better.

There's a lot of time before we'll really know anything about these guys.

You gotta be kidding me. I gave Blake props for doing more and helllooooooo winning the game!! All I said was that Mariota played relatively well with what he had to work with.

What the hell!??? Why is that getting turned around as if I'm saying played lights out? Why don't you and all the other hypersensitive losers get the hell outta here with this crap.

You're right. Mariota played well enough for a rookie with the lack of weapons he has.
It's pretty sad how delusional some of you guys are. To pretend as if Mariota plain sux is stubborn. If you look at the things he does well it's simply an observation that now will have to deal with another qb in our division. I'm glad We have Blake with all his faults one thing that has impressed me about Blake is that he's unflappable. I'll take that every time. I'm critical but I would take Blake 10 out of 10 times because when it's in the line I want the guy that has guts. Blake has guts and that's the best attribute you could ask for. I only hope he would reign in the stupid turnovers. Can we agree on this? Omg!

That's all I was trying to convey. People were asking why Faulk was touting mariota. I simply explained probably because he didn't turn it over and he had the Titans leading for a while. That wasn't bad mouthing Blake. Some of us are unreal after a win and have no objectivity.
As someone stated on another thread, grown men don't say "Omg"

What do I care. Do you have anything to add to the conversation?
I guess not. Stay salty.

Who cares that the NFL Network,  ESPN, or other NFL cities disrespects the Jaguars, the city and fans.  It's been that way since 1995.  We won bros.

Who cares? The op and everyone else who replied in this thread apparently. Im fully aware we won does that somehow mean we can't discuss what was being said on the post game show? Some of you guys are confused.
Quote:You have to earn respect...we won on a couple of great plays made by talented players (in spite of our coaching).

We barely beat a bad 2-7 team with late game "heroics."

We don't have a signature win or showing against a legitimate team.

We proved today to be the better team out of 2 not-so-good teams.

I could care less about disrespect since in a lot of ways we don't deserve respect.
So how much less could you care?
