LOL The problem is we get stuck with bad crews. When was the last time Ed Hochuli worked at one of our games? We have not had Bill Vinovich yet. One referee we get a lot is the worst, Jeff Triplette.

This year's Colt's game and he sucked.
Quote:Yeah I saw that.  I think the NFL is full of it.  I watched that play several times on my DVR now and the OL was definitely set.  It was really just a boom boom kind of play but unless I understand the rule wrong, they don't have to have their hands down.

If you can re-watch, say "set" when the line sets and "hike" immediately and you'll see what I mean.  They were set.

Yep, I see exactly what you mean.
God who cares. Refs miss calls all the time. They missed a clear intentional grounding on Flacco....

We won. Tough grapes Harbaugh. Stop crying like a girl.
Didn't Bortles slide and get Teddy Bridgewatered on the drive that Myers shanked the 26 yard kick?

ARTICLE 6. COMPLETE STOP. All offensive players are required to come to a complete stop and be in a set position simultaneously for at least one second prior to the snap.

The only exception is one player in motion, where everyone else has to be stationary.

ARTICLE 7. ILLEGAL MOTION. When the ball is snapped, one player who is lined up in the backfield may be in motion, provided that he is moving parallel to or away from the line of scrimmage. No player is permitted to be moving toward the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped. All other players must be stationary in their positions.

ARTICLE 8. SHIFTS. The offensive team is permitted to shift and have two or more players in motion multiple times before the snap. However, after the last shift, all players must come to a complete stop and be in a set position simultaneously for at least one second.

Did the NFL admit that the replay official from last week clearly missed that Walters had 2 feet down and had a catch? And that was in the replay booth. How does that happen? Now that deserves a statement from the NFL. Fact is, refs are human. And the Jags get the short end of the stick sometimes too. On every play, there is a hold either by an offensive lineman, or a defensive back. Only so many sets of eyes on the field to catch it. Jags win! Deal with it!

Joeckel was late getting set. Not only was he the last person to figure out where to line up was, he then sets himself twice. The second time he sets himself, when he finally decides he doesn't like how high his first set was and decides to squat lower for his second set, should have drawn a flag.

He got lucky. You have to have better awareness of the clock than that. I don't know why he thought he had to just stand there out of position and watch the refs place the ball. He's not the center. All he needed to worry about was lining up properly with the guard and trust that he is lining up properly with the center.
We get screwed on calls all the time. They can suck it
What is the opposite of #becausejaguars?

I think it is appropriate here.

I get that it happened but seriously, we have had some pretty terrible calls go against us this year and I can only think of one other bad call go our way (that PI that we got at the end of the Buffalo game) but the amount of attention that has been given to this is ridiculous.
I saw the play 10x Joekel looked set. It wasn't though

Teams are often in this situation, but I never saw one get flagged for a false start to end the game. I expect Dean Blandino to talk about this in his weekly Official Review segment on NFL Total Access tomorrow.

U that lazy?
Dude, I can't count as high as the number of times I've had to bite my tongue in regards to blown calls that have cost the Jaguars a win this season. The officiating has been terrible across the league. It's not worth complaining about, cuz it's terrible mostly across the board. We got a few breaks yesterday, but there's no doubt the officiating discrepancy is still not in our favor. We've still been hosed more often then we have caught breaks. I mean, you guys remember the phantom offsides call against the bloody tinhorns on our onsides kick as we were making a comeback????

We deserved that win more than the Ravens did. We made more plays than they did. We were the better team, the NFL and all the refs can kick rocks for all care
Was it two years ago that we got PI against Keenan Allen in SD? Our DB hadn't even touched him yet, was a yard off when Keenan cut in, didn't get touched and we got called for PI. That is the epitome of normal jags games. IF we are going to get calls our way I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

IIRC a flag was thrown on the play. And it was not the same as Bridgewater, who got hit after he went down.

Don't compare apples and oranges. The play I started this thread about added an untimed down because of a clock error. Without the extra play that should not have happened, we lose. The Jets game was our fault because we turned the ball over more than they did.

Lame you could do that on several plays in most games (find official errors and claim that it cost them the game) this is just another way to disrespect the Jaguars after a win.

I know right, both the teams that I follow, Jags & Swindon Town (UK Soccer team) get really back press coverage.. I'm destined for a hard life when it comes to my sports teams.
You think the NFL cares? Do you Think they found this themselves? No way.

The scary thing is coaches like Harbaugh cry after the game, make a few phone calls after reviewing tape, and get

an official NFL announcment the Little Jim is not to be blamed for this loss. He is taking heat for losing to lowly Jacksonville.

That is some power and I wish we had it. If they won't give it to us, that same respect and bowing, then Gus needs to drop

the negotiating dance he does during games and get in some Ref's ears and let them know they are

one foot short of a dung pile.
