It's the most frustrating thing about being a Jags fan. It's always about the "future". What about now? When can we watch a season and enjoy it without having to already look forward to the draft?

If the offense continues to improve, I'm not sure how the defense is going to wear down.  The goal should be to keep them off the field as much as possible by sustaining drives with our offense.

You're probably one of the only people around here today who is looking forward to the draft.  There are still meaningful games left for this team to play this year.

Replacing Tebow with Manning ..... fail ?

We are one half game out of first, not time to dismiss anything yet.

If there was in easy button, it would have been pressed.  The Gene mess is going to take time to clean up.  It's starting to happen, but this year isn't quite the year yet.  I share your frustration, but you have to look at the history of the good teams and realize how they were built.

If trading for a pass rusher was the answer, why weren't all 32 teams lining up to do so?  All teams covet them.  There's a reality out there that you are apparently missing.

But it's built tho

No, it's not.

That was spoken by a HC who isn't getting the most out of his roster.
Has there ever been a 'deadline trade' that has turned things around for a team?

There was Herschel Walker, which was one of the stupidest trades ever.  Minnesota won their division but they had a worse record with Walker.  And we know how Dallas made out because of that stupidity.

Eric Dickerson to the Colts.  The Colts did win their division, but had essentially the same record with and without Dickerson.  And we're talking about a HOF player here.  I don't see any of them available.

I love this when someone throws that out there.  It shows how much of a reading comprehension deficit there is for some folks.

Go read the entire quote around the "bulit" line.  If you had bothered to do so instead of just clinging to two words, you would have understood what his point was, but that doesn't serve you to actually have all the information.  I get it.  The less you know, the more easily you can just toss out idiotic comments ilke "But it's built tho" thinking you're somehow proving a point.

Oh.
Quote:A problem i guarantee will be looked at this offseason.

This offseason is too late. It needs to be addressed now. We should have, I don't know, drafted a pass rusher with our first round pick or something.
Quote:Oh.

Reading comprehension and typos are two different things. Hope this helps.
That embarrassing moment when you lose an argument to TMD and have to point out spelling...

That moment you realize TMD has been banned for awhile now.

"We had a team meeting when we initially started training camp and we talked, 'Our objective is to build a team that owns the AFC South,'" Bradley said at a kickoff luncheon inside EverBank Feld. "And that means year-in and year-out, we're owning the AFC and the South division. That was our mindset.

"And I said, 'This year, we built the team. It's built and it's time,' and our players need to have that mentality."

Where am I not comprehending the whole thing?

Joe Thomas should have been dealt to the broncos
Quote:Oh.

Sorry, typing on a phone can be clunky at times.  If that's what you have to come back with, you're pretty much making my point.  Thanks for playing.

Like I said before, you're not capable of fixating on anything beyond 2 words.

What part of the following confuses you?

Quote:It's built and it's time,' and our players need to have that mentality.

Saying the roster is built is saying the pieces are in place for the foundation of this team to start to turn the corner.  It's up to the players to recognize this and rise to the challenge. .

There was a lot more to that comment than "it's built", but you're either not smart enough to recognize this, or you've got an agenda that requires you to ignore facts.  Which is it?

While they were already a playoff caliber team,   the in season trade in which the then Los Angeles Raiders acquired eventual HOF CB Mike Haynes from the Patriots in 1983 helped propel the Raiders to the Super Bowl Championship that season.
