Quote:The Saints picked up Kai Forbath off the scrap heap and he rewarded them with a game winning 51 yarder. Myers of course would have shanked that kick but let's keep him around, maybe he will learn how to kick one day.
Myers made a 58 yard in the Fins game. He knows how to kick...maybe he will learn how to aim them.
Myers is still here huh? Makes me think the tryout was nothing but a sham.

Quote:What makes you say that?

Because we haven't signed another kicker.
It's no sham. You hold try-outs to see if the guys out there look ok...

Asked if the team considered a change, Bradley replied, “Not after we saw them (the workout kickers).”

Fro the record there is a FA kicker named Swayze Waters! With a name like that he can shank kicks like Myers all day and I'd be just a little happier.

I think it's more of a confidence thing with Myers at this point.  The misses are getting to him, and he's tightening up.  We've seen it before with young kickers.  He's going to need to get past that if he wants to stick around.
it's the extra points.  if you miss a few 45+ yarders, OK. We get it. Extra points? Come on, man we can do better.

Thats like saying..hey our weapons can fire ordinances up to 100 miles...now if we can only hit the enemy and not our allies.

Maybe one day, but could it cost us?  Hopefully nothing serious, but so far it has and could potentially be the difference in a playoff spot.
The league is now at 20 kickers who have missed at least one extra point, and 9 kickers who have missed at least two.

and only ONE guy has missed 3. guess who....
Gus is too set in his ways to make it as a head coach. You have to adapt and change. He lacks the ability to do so. His loyalty is admirable yet will be his undoing as he will continue to fail.

He will stand on the sidelines rubbing Gratz's head and massaging his players shoulders during games until the plug is pulled.

I just hope it put the fear of God in him, we're going to need every PAT and FG we can get for the jets game. The spread is 2.5.
