Quote:That is good, Yeldon is prob gonna be a game time decision, and Lee I hope is back after the bye, and we should have our most weapons we have had all season at that point
If DRob is back, which it appears he will be, that lessons the blow of Yeldon out big time. Great timing DRob! I'm looking forward to seeing him back, i think he's one of the most under rated players on this team. Better HR hitter than Yeldon and can still get the tough yards.

I may be in the minority that thinks Drob should have been the starter as opposed to just naming Yeldon the starter.

I think we should be leading with an experienced vet that has more zing

and coming in with the rookie pounder after

with Gerhart sitting on the bench.

Yeldon is the kind of back that can carry the load. I don't think Robinson is. I think the role they have in mind for him is perfect, and he can thrive in that situation. I'm not convinced he'd be a guy you'd want out there as your every down back. He's definitely improved over time, but I'm still not sold on him being the feature back in this offense.

Yeldon says injury is getting better. He ran a little bit today despite missing Jaguars practice.

Poz says there's no doubt he's playing Sunday barring a major setback. Jaguars

I didnt want him to be the starter necessarily, but I figured they were going to ease TJ into the full time role, maybe like a 50/50 type game plan.

Plus, I thought they were gonna try to get Shoelace more sweeps/ screen pass type plays. Hopefully they give him the ball more times than they did when he was healthy.

There is no injury excuse this Sunday. I'm excited, this should really be a barometer test. We should win this game.
Some people on here are worse than a sewing circle.

Barometer? One crappy team vs another one?
Quote: The colts beat us without their starting franchise QB, see how they responded to this whole injury thing? They've won three straight, two of them sans Luck.

I get your point of the post.

However, to the quoted part above ^^

Colts won 3 straight.

vs Titans, Jags, Texans

even with injuries,, color me seriously unimpressed.

They started out 0-2. Along comes the good 'ol AFCS. The Colts knew they could afford to sit Luck for the last couple weeks. They knew it.

Exactly, Hasselbeck has actually looked better than Luck this year. I wish we had him as our back up instead of bum Henne

I totally agree. The colts still have to prove they can beat other teams in the NFL. I know we need to still beat people as well but maybe the more healthy we become the better we become...right? I still think we have a chance at the playoffs because of the AFCS being so weak looking with the colts limping around thinking they are the king of the south.

That's kind of my point. No one expected the Colts to actually do better when Hasselbeck was in, but because they had good depth, it worked out. Good depth is part of a "built" team, which good HCs aquire. I'm not saying the wins are impressive, but we got beat by a team that has won unimpressive games, with a QB their gameplay doesn't revolve around.

For example, Gus Bradley knew that it was very likely that Sen'derrick Marks would miss some regular season games this year. His "quality depth" signing was Tyson Alualu...

1. Gus Bradley doesn't sign players

2. Let's just ignore the Odrick signing and the Michael Bennett pick. Let's also ignore the fact that Hood, who was the primary back up to Marks, got hurt in the pre-season.

Yes, barometer. To see how this team performs without the injury excuse.

Yep. And alualu doesn't plays Marks position, so...

Alualu plays both 5 tech and 3 tech. They rotate him, not sure you watch the game bud.

This is especially funny because you agreed to Knarnn referring to Odrick as depth for Marks...but he plays 5 tech...

You know what team we are talking about on this board, right?
Quote:1. Gus Bradley doesn't sign players. I mean, why would a GM consult with his head coach about finding quality football players, right?

1. Yes, I'm sure Gus Bradley has no say in what players we sign.

2. I'm not ignoring Odrick, he's not a defensive tackle. We needed a 5 tech anyway, regardless of Senderrick playing or not. Also, a 6th round pick isn't exactly good insurance for your team's most valued defensive player. God forbid we signed a decent backup DT. We only knew for about 6 months that Marks would be out.

Ziggy Hood.

Odrick does plays 3 tech. alualu main position 5 tech, when 3 tech rotated for Miller.

I said decent. Ziggy Hood, in my opinion, is not "quality" depth. He was also signed a year earlier, before Senderrick was hurt.
