Quote:Julius Thomas?
Panthers weren't missing Luke for the first half.
The Pats were missing who? Does it matter who they are missing?
Shoulda won against the clots....
Injuries aren't a good excuse for losing... but it is a good reason as to why our defense isn't quite where it was last year.
The safeties we got to fix the back end have been banged up.
Our DBs have been banged up.
The LB depth still isn't there, so missing Poz for one game really hurt.
The Dline has been without Marks, and Branch, and we have been without our first round LEO.
It's called.... Reality.
we aren't built to withstand injuries to 4 or 5 starters on defense.
Lol forgot a football game ends at the first half.
What has Julius Thomas proved as a Jaguar? I like him a lot, but, speaking of reality, he hasn't done anything without Peyton Manning.
Where our defense was last year? You mean the 25th ranked in the league? The one on the team that lost 6 games by 14 pts or more?
Btw how long did we know Sen'derrick Marks was going to be out the beggining of this year?
Talk about reality, people want to blame injuries for this coaching staff being the problem. Injuries don't help, but this coaching staff needs to get the blame. Part of having a "built" ( Gus Bradley's word) team is having depth. They've had plenty of time to aquire depth.
But I get it, injuries only effect us.

No one says that injuries only affect us.
You said we had no injured playmakers outside of Marks.
I said JT. Regardless of what he has or hasn't done here. He is a playmaker, it is why we signed him to a serious contract.
Secondly, speaking on the defense you know well I was speaking on the pass rush that was top 5, iirc, and has pretty much vanished this season.
A direct influence on that is lacking Marks, not only for his sacks, but the attention he demands allowing scrubs like Branch to windmill through and get a sack or two.
No one is making excuses. You're just talking out of your rear.

FBT made the excuse... Which is why I replied to him...
Top 5 in sacks and still the 25th ranked defense. What does it matter if your defense still sucks? Top five in sack and your DBs still couldn't cover/tackle a tortoise last year? Real comforting.
It doesn't matter if Julius Thomas has Peyton Manning as a QB? Are you out of your mind? Do players never become products of great QBs, which was one of the main concerns with signing Julius Thomas? Again, I like the guy a lot, but let's not act like him being a product of Peyton Manning isnt very much within the realm of possibility
Personally I think talking to your rear might be a little more insightful.

Do you just make [BLEEP] up as you go along or what?
We were top 5 in sacks, but since our offense couldn't move the ball our defense were always gassed and usually were behind big by half.
No where did I imply we had a great defense. I've said many times our D over-achieved last year and injuries brought it crashing back to Earth.
No where did I say "it does not matter if JT had Manning"
what I said was "JT is a playmaker, regardless of where he's been"
Ignore it if you want. But you know you're just complaining to complain.
Anyone who says JT is just a Manning product is a dunce.

Lol Talk about making [BLEEP] up. Anyone who thinks its not atleast possible for JT to be a product of one of the best QBs of all time is an idiot. Are people dunces because they can be realistic?
How is " JT is a playmaker regardless of where he's been" not pretty much saying that it doesn't matter if he had Peyton Manning? He was a playmaker when he was with Peyton Manning. So were every WR/ TE that's ever played with him.
JT has to prove he doesn't only have playmaking ability when he's with a QB that threw 94 TDs in his two stellar years. I think he will, but it doesn't mean it's impossible for him to be a product of Peyton Manning.

Why even argue? Some people only use facts when its beneficial to their argument, not against it.

What facts did I try to skew to fit my argument?
Quote:So Hasselbeck is better than Luck?
Guess what happens when Luck comes back from injury. Hasselbeck goes on the bench.
If the colts used that logic, Hasselbeck would be named the starter. Not even CLOSE to an argument here.
You may right about him going to the bench but the fact is still true. Luck hadn't won any games this year. So you're right there is no argument because the truth is I'm right.

Lol ok. It sucks we had to play a 40 year old backup QB. I'd of MUCH rather of played one of the best QBs in the league.

hahahaha Dude.
There is a reason Hasselbeck didn't start a single game the 3 previous years. He's the backup. Yes... Hasselbeck has won the previous 2 games but lets be real, he did it against the 2 worst teams in the league.

The fact that you use Kelvin Benjamin, Cameron Wake, Nate Soldier, Donta Hightower, and Luke Keuchly as injury comparisons to Senderrick Marks, Julius Thomas, and the rest of the Jags injuries is how. Now if common sense kicked in, just a little, don't you think these perennial top pro players are a little more substantial in the NFL than ours? Outside of JT80, who is our Cameron Wake, our Kelvin Benjamin? We have injuries to players that produce "FOR THE JAGS" but you're saying that every team has injuries like we have the same caliber rosters as all of these other teams even with injuries to "OUR" playmakers.
Do you not see how that doesn't even compare or make any sense at all. If you were in Vegas and the Pats vs the Jags was the game, the injuries included Donta Hightower and Nate Soldier for the pats; and for the Jags, the injuries read Senderrick Marks, Branch, Cyprien, Colvin, Julius Thomas, Shoelace, and the Albino Tiger, would you compare these players at all or just say its a 50/50 chance because both have injuries? With the logic your using i wonder what the over/under and spread would be?
The Pats still have Brady who has shown that without top receivers and an ok running game he still can put up multiple scores; yet we should do the same with our injuries because every team has injuries. Are you Mad?

Wow... The dude who just proved my point just asked if I was mad...
Lol btw I find it hilarious that you left Andrew Luck out of a post where you tried to say I was skewing facts.
Stop thinking you have common sense. You have 0.

Cuz it has been proven on film that a majority of Thomas' TDs were a direct result of Manning having him wide open after he made a move or burned the defender.
Not like Manning was throwing dude open all the time.
Thomas was getting 50/50 balls in the RZ too.
But carry on.
Is it nice having a QB that knows he can get you the ball any play he wants? Yeah. But Manning did not MAKE JT.
As opposed to Austin Collie, Jacob Tamme, and a few other clot stars that faded elsewhere.

Oh, so i am incorrect. Include Luck in there, because the Jags have players that have proved to be just as good as the ones you mentioned above. We also have depth behind these players and have had numerous weeks/years of success behind them as well so injuries aren't a concern. Let's just put em on IR and make a run because the team is still built with or without our emerging players and/or decent ones. I guess from year 1 we have shown that, and this is year 3, so we should be able to win against any team in the NFL. Who cares if they have Superstars, we have Bortles, Poz, the Allens, and Telvin and can take on anybody in the league. Should i also include Bortles, Luck like, stats from the previous year to back up this elite team we have this year.
What has Gus done to this Contender in Jax?
I want to ask obe wan, shouldn't playoffs be included in your agenda because these teams were there last year too, except MiA( preseason NFL contender supposedly ) and TB correct?

I didn't make any excuse. Pointing out the fact that this team has had significant injury issues with key players is not making excuses. It's simply stating fact. If you consider injuries an excuse, you're proving my point that the pitchfork and torch crowd has one agenda, and they will dismiss any fact that doesn't prop that up.

And when people were lamenting the injuries when they happened and worried that they may adversely affect the team's performance, you told us to stop whining and that we will be fine. "Next man up." I can't really say you have an agenda, since you flip flop so much. Really you are just a big, fat grouch who loves to flex his Internet muscles.

Pointing out we have injuries fine. But they balance out because other teams have injuries as well... Therefore saying we have injuries is a useless fact to bring up.
This team should have won 3 games. Possibly 4. However we have 1 win and this team is not playing to the best of their abilities. Hopefully after the BYE week, this team makes some major changes.

I have to carry on... It's too easy.
Where has this been proven in film, exactly? Because the Jaguars signed him? Or did you just file through 2 years of Broncos game tape? I'm sure Deon Branch was film was proved when Seattle traded a 1st to NE for him as well.
50/50 (because that must be another proven stat on film) red zone targets to a TIGHT END! No way!
I never said its FACT that JT is a product of Peyton Manning. I'm just saying, he has to prove he can do it without him before he can remain being considered a playmaker. Just saying " Nope, not uh, not possible" is just unrealistic.
And please... PLEASE tell me you didn't just refer to a WR that had 3 concussions (who was actually pretty good before that) and a career backup TE.

What's my agenda? We should win against other injured/bad teams despite injuries?
Some agenda. Pretty sure all 32 teams in the league have the same "agenda".
You're the one ignoring the fact that the other teams we have played had been missing players, but hey, just keep using your pre-typed responses you use for everything.
Told you you'd ignore that post btw.
