Just a reminder to everyone, while Linder stoned Watt the first time they played last year Watt didn't really line up against him in game 2. Point being, Linder probably wouldn't have matched up against Watt much anyways
We are better than the tin horns.  Our talent is light years beyond theirs.  We should be 2-4 after this game.
Quote:Agreed. Only chance of a Gerhart TD is goal line situation, which happened against the Titans last year. I got lucky.

Plus I love rooting for DRob and cringe seeing Gerhart back there haha
I was only messing man.

Hopefully you end up 5-1 after this week!
Quote:I'm not sure what one issue has to do with the other. When a player is injured, you're more than welcome to freak out all you want BEFORE we know what the actual injury is and the extent. Pardon me for not joining you drama queens in your never ending need to live in the land of worst case scenario without all the information.

I'm pretty sure you have no idea what the word hypocrite means, and it absolutely has no bearing in my comment. Fortunately for you, I'm not surprised you'd get confused here as to what my point was.

You are most likely one of the high minded folks who obsess over injuries, pulling the chicken little routine every time a player gets hurt, declaring it to be devastating. Then, when the team struggles, you are one of those who dismiss injuries as an "excuse" because it doesn't suit your agenda to admit injuries hurt a team. That wouldn't allow you to pick up the pitchfork and torch blaming Gus or whoever the target of the day is for the attention deficit crowd. Then, to cap it off, when players are coming back from injuries, suddenly their return will help turn the fortunes of the team around.

Now, if I'm looking for a hypocrite, I'd say that kind of behavior from injury to return meets the standard.

Whatever you say, tubby. The injuries are a valid reason for poor performance, but that doesn't change the fact that this team is poorly coached.
Quote:I value carries. Last year I started Gerhart once and it was against the Titans. He scored. I won.

....your point?

Hey .... you need to start him.  I think you're the good luck charm.  People are blaming Dave & Gus --- It's your fault.  Maybe Toby is feeling left out and it's killing his motivation.  Once he sees that he's owned by 0.001% of the Fantasy Teams out there, he'll get motivated to light it up once again.

I say Go For It !!  Take one for the team.  Help our Jags out.

Hahaha! Anything for a win!!!
Finally about to see what the team was meant to look like with more guys back and healthy..

Quote:All I asked was if Yeldon was out and Gerhart and Robinson were playing.. Who would you rather have? I value starters and carries. I didn't say I was starting them man. What if Yeldons injury lingers and he's out 2-3 more weeks? Would you rather Robinson or someone like Buck Allen? I'll take the starter.

I picked up Duke Johnson from the scrap heap this week in my league. IMO he's a better option than either Gerhart or DRob, especially if you won't know until game time who's going to start at RB for the Jags.

Agreed...

NH3...

Johnson is owned by someone else. He's gaining steam though. Nice pickup.
Id do anything to not see gerhart get more than 0 carries.

Yuck
Quote:Wait. So, if these players all return from injury, that's a good thing and it could help the team win. But, pointing out that they've missed playing time due to injury and that this can impact the success/failure of this team is called an excuse?

This is one of the most desperate posts i have ever seen.

Borderline tmd.

Because it exposes the hypocrisy of some here?

The same people saying the team will get better when injured players return simultaneously dismiss injuries calling them an excuse when the team struggles in their absence. How exactly is pointing that out "desperate?"

I forgot that the Jaguars are the only team that had to deal with injuries.

The Panthers were missing Kelvin Benjamin and Luke Kuechly. The Dolphins were missing Cameron Wake. The Patriots were missing Donta Hightower and Nate Solder. The Colts were missing ANDREW LUCK.

Outside of Senderrick Marks, NONE of our injuries come even CLOSE to the playmaking ability of the players I just listed. Glad this team can respond to adversity.

I guarantee you ignore this post.

Notice anything about those teams? They all beat the Jaguars. Outside of Senderrick Marks, NONE of our injuries come even CLOSE to the playmaking ability of the players I just listed. Glad this team can respond to adversity.

The Bucs were down quite a few players too. 2 starting Olinemen I think? and we couldn't pressure Winston.

Hasselback came in and won two games while luck has zero. Not really an argument there.

But but but Paul Posluzney!

So Hasselbeck is better than Luck?

Guess what happens when Luck comes back from injury. Hasselbeck goes on the bench.

If the colts used that logic, Hasselbeck would be named the starter. Not even CLOSE to an argument here.
Speaking of Poz any news on him playing this week?

Julius Thomas?

Panthers weren't missing Luke for the first half.

The Pats were missing who? Does it matter who they are missing?

Shoulda won against the clots....

Injuries aren't a good excuse for losing... but it is a good reason as to why our defense isn't quite where it was last year.

The safeties we got to fix the back end have been banged up.

Our DBs have been banged up.

The LB depth still isn't there, so missing Poz for one game really hurt.

The Dline has been without Marks, and Branch, and we have been without our first round LEO.

It's called.... Reality.

we aren't built to withstand injuries to 4 or 5 starters on defense.
