Quote:Blake Bortles did a throw back Thursday on his Instagram to him in kindergarten!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, that's hilarious.

Haha, that's how you handle it.
I don't know, maybe win a few games before you start attacking the fans that pay your salary..

Just curious how people feel fans would react if any of the following said what Bortles did?:

Garrard

Gabbert

Leftwhich

Less angry, more?  More supportive, less?

Haha go Blake! He just posted kindergarten throwback picture on Instagram!

See, this is what I mean. Lol attacking he says!

Doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Seriously...why are some people so bent out of shape behind his comments? They were both funny and absolutely correct.

Simply put, things will look a certain way to us casual observers who DO NOT play in the NFL but that doesn't mean that our thoughts or opinions are correct. This was a very simple and apt analogy for the entire situation.

I think some chil'ren need to be wee bit less sensitive and find something a bit more important to worry about.
Just win dammit and he can call me any damn thing he wants..
Jeezus, he doesn't even have to win to shut me the hell up, be competitive and keep us in the damn game..
Quote:Maybe something like, "fans are entitled to their opinion, but they have no way of knowing eveything that's going on behind each decision." There are many things he could have said that wouldn't alienate the fan base.

People would have gotten bent out of shape over that, too.

Was his response, for want of better phrasing, clumsy?

Perhaps.

Do I think he was being mean spirited? Not at all.

Was he accurate in his assessment? Yes.
Quote:Pretty sure it was the weather this week....

Seriously though, do you think the play calling was good?

I agreed with some calls, disagreed with others. Either extreme was based upon far less information than the coaches and players. I have no problem with a player stating the obvious truth behind that, even if I somehow stumbled into the right conclusion.
I guess he's right. I thought I was watching terrible football last Sunday but Blake and the coaches know more than me lol.

Lol.
I don't see the problem. A bunch of armchair madden players or average casual fans with no knowledge of the professional game don't realize there is a game plan and scheme at work. Yeah hindsight is always 20/20 but I'm just as sick of the dumb critical remarks of casual fans that think they know what is going on. I'm sure he's as frustrated as the fans are.

Can we see it, please?

That was fantastic
As a professional athlete you can't make fun of your fans and not expect a bit of backlash, but nobody will really care as long as he goes out on Sunday and plays like a 100 or higher QB Rating.  If he doesn't and is actually a big reason of the loss as he was in week 1, and continues to make comments like this Gus will feel pressure to bench him for Chad.

I am sure I will get people thinking I'm dumb for saying that Gus would bench a healthy Bortles for Chad, but if he plays bad & makes fun of the fans afterwards on a weekly basis you can guarantee he will.

You may have been watching terrible football last Sunday.

It may or may not have had anything to do with bad play calling.

Considering nobody has ventured to say why, based upon tendencies, personnel, formation, blocking scenes, route combinations, defensive fronts and coverages a given play was bad, or offered a better play showing more appropriate formation, blocking scheme etc from the Jaguars' playbook (to say nothing of the entire universe of all possible plays), I still don't get why people think Bortles is wrong, especially since Olsen and Bortles actually can answer these questions to that degree of specificity.

Blake has to post a video of him kicking puppies for Gus to bench him for Chad friggin Henne.

So fans can't criticize coaching or play calling because coaches obviously know more about the technical side of the game? That's news to me.
