Quote:This game was so winnable even without Lee and Thomas.

Even after the Poz interception, we couldn't turn the tide. I'm not saying fire the man but when I watch the previous 32 games look like this game, it shows that most likely, nothing has changed.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

It was a winnable game, but for whatever reason, they got tight with the play calling, particularly after Joeckel went out with the ankle injury.  To me, they should have put more emphasis on the running game and just continued to pound Carolina and let conditioning win the game.  They didn't do that.  Why?  Who knows.  It's week one.  Things should get better.

Since when has Lee been considered our deep threat receiver?

We had our deep threat receiver. Hurns

Lee is the guy with the speed to be that vertical element in the offense.  That's been the expectation since they drafted him.  He's got to stay healthy for long enough to show it.

Hurns may get open deep, but it's not because he's blowing the doors off of anyone.

What the hell are you talking about?
Quote:I'm hanging on to every ounce they tell me? I'm the one who is sitting here stomping his feet like a spoiled brat who didn't get his way as he howls to the board about how he's been lied to by the coaches? You haven't seen me saying anything of the sort. I'm not happy with the way the team played yesterday, but evidently I have something you lack; perspective.

Unlike you, I don't really care what the coach says in press conferences. Meanwhile, you're getting yourself worked up into a frothy lather over it as if Gus is lying, and not only that, he's lying directly to you when he speaks in generalities and doesn't throw coaches or players under the bus. I don't care what he or any coach says in a presser. You hang on every word and take it personally when you don't see instantly what he said in a press conference somewhere along the way.

I'm not the one who is stuck, twitchy.
He's not getting the job done. Plain and simple. I'm not over reacting. It's plain to see. I'm just done being all optimistic and taking the wait and see view. You can continue holding out hope. I'll watch and continue to criticize as I see fit. Deal with it.

Here's where I have to agree. Fact: the team lost. Fact: It needs work. Fact: I didn't like the performance on the field. But with adequate usage of perspective, I also know, as mentioned in my other post, the team is still undergoing the rebuild, and is learning a new offence. They did show improvement in some areas  yesterday. But nonetheless, I'm not going to get all emotional and cry like little babies when things don't go like I want them to.

Done being optimistic? Lol, when were you optimistic?

At birth. But on the way home from the hospital he was done being optimistic.
Quote:Well, if that's all the instruction they get, and they're not taught to bring their hands together at some point, it's no wonder we're dropping so many passes.  It's time to fire everyone.

you wanna explain to me how robinson has gone backwards in development since you wanna defend this staff so much?

I was thinking the same thing.  This poster is infamous for being quite the opposite.

Deal with what exactly?  I'm doing just fine in dealing with the current situation.  You're the one having a meltdown acting like Gus lied to you personally, and you just can't get beyond your hurt and shame as a result.  I have a teenage daughter and her friends who all do the same thing when they don't get their way.  Are you a teenage girl?  If so, then I'll ease up on pointing out what a drama queen you're being about WEEK ONE.

Let us know when you're sprinkling that optimism around the board because to date, I've never seen it.  You're usually one of the first to come in here riding your trail of tears any time the team faces the slightest adversity.  I have yet to see even the slightest hint of optimism from you.

Probably since 2007. I'll watch and see and let my eyes tell me the truth. Truth hurts but you guys go ahead and buy the hype.

Right after you show me where I'm defending anyone by saying people should put things into perspective and recognize it's WEEK ONE.

Robinson hasn't regressed at all.  He's where he was last year.  He'll make some plays and he'll have some drops.

The only one here who apparently was buying the hype is you.

You're the one whining that they lied about what they intended for the team to be, and you took it personally.  That says YOU bought into the words they were saying, and expected their promises to be delivered in WEEK ONE of the new season.  Most reasonable fans are disappointed, but not whining like you for major change coming out of WEEK ONE.

You're right.  The truth hurts.
McCardell  would've been a better coach than Sullivan is. Sullivan is over hyped by our own propaganda specialists that includes Brian sexton and Johnny O.

I don't think you directly defended anyone but you certainly like to throw out that you are the sole person that has perspective. As if I or any other jag fant hasn't watched this team suck for years. Yet you want to get all you fat rolls and stand on the stool to point down to us like we can't see failure. It's not week 1. Gus is not a first year coach anymore. Just admit he's not getting the job done to this date.

Right.  It's just in-house hype.

There weren't teams that were trying to hire him away from Jacksonville when Gus Bradley was brought in as the new head coach.  Sexton and Oehser were the only people on the planet talking him up.

I don't take credit for being the only person with perspective.  There are plenty of them who have participated in this and other threads.  You simply choose to ignore them and fixate on me, kind of like an obsessed teenager.

It must really sting that I've pretty much got you figured out, eh twitchy?

Let us know where to send the Kleenex and a case of Midol so you can deal with your personal angst because Gussy poo lied to you.  Never mind, I'm sure if I just put the boxes on the trail of tears, they'll eventually make their way downstream to you.

You're really taking all this stuff personally, and you're calling ME the loser?  Okay, twitchy.

I've been reading your crap for over 10 years. Your the one that cries over anyone that has a differing opinion. You can't handle it. Your the predictable one. I knew you would come in here insulting from the minute the thread was started. Thanks for not disappointing. Why don't you take that midol and place it in one of your fat rolls and let it dissolve till your pelvic aches subside. Chase it with a tub of lard just how you like it. Don't forget the gravy fat boy.

I like Sullivan but to be fair, Keenan is a really good coach up here in Maryland.

I went to UMD and watch every game. If there is one thing this school does well, it's have good receivers who have a QB who can't get them the rock.

Lol.  Can you confirm this TC?
