[Image: Connecticut_logo.gif]Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut

Height: 6-4. Weight: 219. Arm: 32.63. Hand: 8.75.

Projected 40 Time: 4.53.

Projected Round (2017): 1-2.

2/11/17: Every year, there are some size/speed freaks who rise up draft boards, and Melifonwu will be one of those prospects for the 2017 NFL Draft. Melifonwu has great size and also is a fast defender. He was superb at the Senior Bowl as he showed real coverage skills in the passing game. He is not tight and has the ability to contribute in man coverage. Melifonwu created a real buzz and could go off the board late in the first round.

The senior totaled 118 tackles with three passes broken up and four interceptions in 2016. As a junior in 2015, he had 88 tackles with two interceptions and five passes broken up.

Sources say that Melifonwu needs development, and thus, they have him graded later on Day 3; however, they think the team that likes Melifonwu enough to draft him could do so in the mid-rounds.

Nailed it.
I'm not sure what the Jets needs are here, but it's crazy that Charles Harris is still dropping.

Two thumbs up. As it pertains to replacing Weddle with an equally dynamic safety that can both hit and cover with the best of them, Obi was their only hope.
I've been checking in periodically all day. I'm ready for the Panthers and Bengals picks when I'm up.

Whoever wants them can have my second round picks.
Are we still drafting? My picks for Carolina and Cincinnati are ready.

We're still drafting, but I've noticed a theme that we get totally hung up for hours on end every time it's Anonymous' turn.

My guys are still on the board and I wanna make my picks.

I'm ready to pick for the Jets as it's virtually a no brainer with them having already gone CB and with all four top QBs gone. They're desperate for OL help especially at OT, and Garrett Bolles is easily the BAP.

Jets select D'onta Freeman!

One thumb up for D'onta FOREMAN. Foreman is one of the most enigmatic RBs in this class. Big and impressively agile for his size, but doesn't finish his runs nearly as powerful as he should. Fills a nice need for the Jets though, and will pair well with Bilal Powell.
The Carolina Panthers select Garrett Bolles, OT, Utah.

Oops.

Quote:The Cincinnati Bengals select Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan.
Taco Charlton was taken 22nd overall by Miami.

Pick again.
If he takes too long to get back here, I say we just give him Charles Harris who may be even better than Taco.

How did I miss that one? It was late. I must've been punch drunk. I'll select someone else.
With the 41st pick in the draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select CB/KR Adoree Jackson, USC.

No thanks. The Bengals run a 4-3 and at only 235 lbs., Harris needs to be a 3-4 OLB. The Bengals need a little more "meat" on the edge. This is a deep DE class, so Cincinnati will wait to take a pass rusher. No need to reach here. Taking Adoree' Jackson gives them a playmaker in the secondary to go with last year's pick, William Jackson. Adoree' can also return kicks. He will basically take the role of Adam Jones, who should be cut for his constant off the field brushes with the law.
The Saints are on the clock.

After that it's Achilles pick, and he already said somebody else can have his teams.

Two thumbs up. Bout time. I know some are off put by his extremely advanced age (25 by draft time) or by his lack of experience, but he ain't lasting nearly this long. If he was a normal 21-22 year old prospect he would probably be a lock for the top dozen picks. He might be anyway.
