Your right too early to tell and needs to play 16 real games to be judged. Could it also be the defense has really stepped up? Which is also too early to tell and needs 16 games to be judged.

Every single person in the organization says he is much improved, in pretty much every aspect.
Not sure what you're seeing.

I hope you are right about being too early and wrong about Blake not looking improved.
However, No I dont believe we will see a new QB next spring if Blake doesnt show major improvements.

Quote:I think Caldwell is building a good team but the team is only going to be able to go as far as Bortles can take them. With that said...
It doesn't look like he's improved from last year so far (very early assessment I know).
Either the receivers are still not getting open or he doesn't know how to find (or throw) an open receiver.
His release is slow, the spirals are sloppy and there doesn't look to be much zip on the ball. The D is all over his passes and the receivers.
My question is how long does DC give Bortles for development/improvemet? Or we will see Connor Cook (or another top QB prospect) in a Jags jersey next year?
What are you basing these on? Your observations at training camp?

Not sure what the OP is seeing. Bortles seems to be more accurate, has a quicker release, and cleaned up his mechanics.
Probably one of the most illogical posts in a while.

Too early to tell....

Looks like a good hit and run post by the OP. I am guessing he has been to zero of the three training camp practices.

Not that I think they're wrong, but when has everyone involved with the team not pumped sunshine about anyone on the team up until the moment that person is cut/fired, and then suddenly they all knew all along that the guy wasn't actually good?

But, there have been members of the media both local and the few national that were at practice this weekend that said Bortles looked much improved.

Well in Madden 16 he hasn't improved that much. So we better start looking at QB options.
