Quote:Let's hope he gets Jail justice, child predators dont deserve to live.I'm not convinced that he's being investigated for possession or distribution of child pornography himself. Could easily be related to his his employee, who's currently sitting in jail on child porn charges. Everything is sufficiently unclear in this case as to merit giving Jared the benefit of the doubt for now, as opposed to Aaron Hernandez, who was led from his home in handcuffs right out of the gate.
Before anyone chimes in, no, I'm not defending Jared Fogle, and if the man is guilty of possession or distribution of child pornography, he deserves to rot in prison. I'm just not ready to convict him based upon something that could easily be the byproduct of the feds asking for all of his foundation's records, Jared saying no (as any true American should), and the feds getting a search warrant instead.

So in the "court of public opinion" Jared Fogle is guilty without us knowing the actual facts.
The second "ruling" is that Subway sandwiches are bad.
I'm just trying to keep score here.
All fast food (in my opinion) is bad for you if that's the main source of your diet. I lump pretty much most of the chain fast food restaurants together including Subway, Burger King, Hardees, McDonalds, Taco Bell, KFC... However, an "every now and then" meal from a fast food franchise is a good thing, not only for your diet, but for the people that work there. After all, a good "cleansing" is good for the body from time-to-time.

Publix on the other hand is bae <3
As far as subs go, Subway probably ranks at or near the bottom of all the sub sandwich shops here in Jax, they just have a lot of stores all around the city and even inside some Walmarts and gas stations.
Their best gimmick/deal was selling those foot-long subs for $5, and not just the cheaper subs, but all the different subs for $5, but that is gone for now.
There are a lot better sub shops then Subway, but when they were $5, there weren't any cheaper then Subway, if you were looking for a cheap lunch.

The $5 footlong is what kept Subway afloat. Now that it is gone, its just crap food for about the same price as everyone else.
Why would I go to Subway when I could get a sub that's 10x better at Publix, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, etc etc....

Quote:If they don't find something in this raid, Jared will have a little extra walking around money as a result of this. Some of the media outlets are reporting that the raid may involve child [BAD WORD REMOVED]. The guy running his foundation was arrested previously after some videos were found on his computer, and apparently there was some link to Jared Fogle that sparked this raid.Boars Head meats are the only ones for me. I was very happy when I moved to SC to find my local grocery store had Boars Head. That was a weekly sub from Publix when I still lived in Jville.
Sounds like the guy is pretty much a recluse if he's not doing his commercials. They interviewed one of his neighbors, and the guy said they've probably seen Jared outside of the house a dozen times in the past 5 or 6 years. He even stayed home to train for the NY Marathon doing all of his prep on a treadmill.
I know a franchise owner here locally, and he swears they use real meat. I think we probably have different definitions. There's top, medium, and low grade meats. Subway has found a way to create a whole new category that's lower than the rest. Between the lousy bread and dog food grade meat, Subway is never an option when we are talking about lunch places.

This was hilarious because one of my buddies lives right up the street from him apparently and never knew that the Subway guy lived in the neighborhood. But apparently they raided it all because of a letter that the foundation owner sent him once or something via email.

It's pretty sad when people are making jokes and already assume something about someone without knowing the facts.

Not really. Ye who choose to make millions by entering the public eye can expect to endure some ridicule.

It was a tough call. One really has to weigh the level of humor vs. the level of harm.
It went over like gangbusters at trivia the other night with the team name, but I underestimated the Jerod sensitivity in the board.

That line is roughly somewhere between 6 inches and a foot long, but is customizable to your liking.

So perhaps it's appropriate to make jokes about Bruce Jenner and Bill Cosby. Neither of them has been charged with a crime, and have put themselves in the public eye. So I guess that they should "expect to endure some ridicule".
