30th total defense
30th opp yds per game allowed.
24th. 3rd down conversion pct. I would bet we are first in long third downs allowed.
28th 4th down conversions allowed.
25th first downs per play
28th opp plays per game. Hence long drives allowed.
30th in time of possession, some of that is on the offense but still bad.
31st passing yds allowed
Ryan Neilson hire not looking great so far. Yea secondary is banged up. His blitz packages suck also.
The offense def doesn't help them at crucial times I will admit.
It just seems like they can never stop any team when really needed.

1. Playcalling near the end of the games:
When you have a lead. You have the ball with around 4 minutes on the clock. RUN. THE. BALL. Why do 3 consecutive passes? This isn't the first time this has happened. Stop doing that. This could have ended very ugly if the Colts had found a way to finish.
2. Pass defense
It's very messy. Players are getting open on them. Too many yards given up. Buster is playing well. Darby has struggled a bit. And Tyson is missed. The pass defense from the safeties have been disappointing. Cisco has taken a step back and Johnson needs more play time. I see a little improvement in his tackling. I can see Dewey getting more involved when he returns. And they still have Gipson if they decide to go that direction too. I hope Ryan can figure out something for this defense. A Packers player has an interception in 5 straight games so far. This team has yet to get a single one.
Other than that, a win is a win!! Keep the throwbacks for good luck!

Trevor Lawrence: By far his best game in over a season. I believe a career high in yards. Glad to see that he got out of his funk. Let us all hope this is momentum starting for him.
Bigsby: By far the most improved player on the team and possibly the league. Most of us wrote him off as a complete bust his rookie year.
Travon Walker: 3 sacks ( a new career high) and a strip sack. I just hope walker can be consistent but this is the first time I think I can say he was a force vs the other team.
*BJT - Baalke gets a ton of crap but this kid maybe the steal of the draft. Some guys you know have it and he has IT. Fast, smooth, slippery, this makes me forget all about Ridley.
*Strange: He has played well in his fill in for Engram. Nice Td grab in the back of the endzone
*ETN: He was catching balls underneath and making the colts pay for playin that Gus Bradley soft serve zone.
*Offensive Line: The last 2 weeks, Trevor has had a very clean pocket.
*Hines Allen: Recovering a fumble and finally getting a clean turnover for the defense.
*Kirk: By far his best game of the season
*Gabe Davis: It is not for his play but for getting up in Lawrence face on the sideline. The announcers called out how Lawrence missed him wide open on a crucial third down. They hashed it but Lawrence seemed to play better after that. I'm glad to see a player holding another accountable.
*Duvernay: Huge return late in the game!
*Cam Little: This rookie maybe named Little but he has a Giant between his legs. The guy has a rocket leg and hits long field goals with ease. His first career game winner!

Good:
1. Jaguars finally get a win.
2. Trevor Lawrence: Overall. a very good day. Only a couple bad plays, but much improved.
3. Tank Bigsby: Love his physicality when carrying the ball. Turning out to be very good draft pick despite shaky rookie season.
4. Brenton Strange: Hell of a catch on the touchdown.
5. Trevon Walker: Relentless pressure.
6. Ezra Cleveland: Starting to look like the guy they expected after the trade with the Vikings.
7. Ventrell Miller: Continues to make plays
Bad:
1. Defense almost gave the game away at the end. Inexcusable.
2. Antonio Johnson: Flacco kept going at him with much success.
3. De"Ernest Johnson: Bad penalties must stop.
UglY;
I'll pass on this one following the victory.

Needs to be discussed more
That 4th quarter exposed it and we saw it in thr last few rounds
3rd &8, 3rd & 15 and we give up a huge chunk play and allow a first down or a td
I understand the injury atm to the secondary but its such a bummer man
The good news is congrats to the defence for breaking the turnover drout

lol … just kidding.
Very good way to see us win though.
Offense gets to build confidence.
Trevor played great, o line puts together two solid games especially in pass pro. Thomas Jr, Bigsby, and Kirk all continue to show that they are going to do their best to help us pull through this with their play.
Defensively good game from walker obviously was good to see.. but the defense especially the secondary gets to have their pride checked after a bad performance with a lot of breakdowns.. good to have to check ourselves after a win though. Really wish we would use Armstead at 3 tech more especially on key downs.
Offensive play callers put together a very good plan that was executed well.
Bottom line so good to get a win.. let’s see if we can get 2! Let’s go get the Bears ! And Happy Birthday Trevor because I’m sure you secretly read this board all the time ! lol!

Welcome to Week 5 of our eternal torment or the daybreak of our eternal optimism.
It's a soggy day in J-ville as we prepare for the arrival of another hurricane later this week. At the Bank the hometown heroes are decked out in their Sunday Finest as the Organization prepared to enshrine the legendary Tom Coughlin in the Ring of Honor. On the field both team are pretty beat up and we expect to see Flacco under center for the clots today. Josh Hines-Allen is on the report with his post-concussion symptoms, we should hear in a few hours if he'll play.
This game might be the last chance for the Jags to salvage the 2024 season, it could also be a chance to get on a bit of a roll as the team heads out to London next week to play the bears and pats overseas.
Discussion, commentary, arguing, whining, and oh so much snark to follow!
