Of course, he had NFL experience before going to Seattle. Bill Belicheck had a guy commit murder on the Patriots. Does anyone hold that against him? Eagles coach Doug Pederson is in jeopardy of losing his job. I would hope Khan would consider him, even though he would need a new defensive coordinator. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

The only issue I have with Meyer is he wins but hasn't been a great developer of NFL QB's.
Alex Smith has been okay in the NFL but not a superstar. Tim Tebow, Urban didn't fix his mechanics at Florida, and Tebow wasn't able to succeed in the NFL All the Ohio State QB's have flamed out in the NFL. This is the only concern I have with him. He said we can't interview Daboll yet we have an interview set up with Smith today. The only thing I can think of is they would rather interview Daboll in person than on Skype We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! To me he is too much boom or bust. It could be really good or really bad.

It's kinda crazy that we haven't really even talked about whether we think Urban's offense can work in the NFL. Spread and shred works great when the preponderance of the best athletes are on offense and defenses are only allowed 20 hours to practice a week. Will it work when the defenses are also blazing fast and they can work on stopping it full time? Plenty of people are skeptical about that.

I agree with all of these points. Some people keep pointing out Bieniemy's past, but the guy has NFL experience and hasn't has issues under Andy Reid. One of the best coaches in the history of the league and the NFL's best QB are also vouching for him. I agree with all the points you suggested here and I think they are most certainly valid areas of concern.

On the other hand he has been successful at every stop he has been at and made those programs into elite organizations, but agreed their are question marks about his ability to transition to the NFL. One thing though is he doesn't seem to like recruiting and that's taken a toll on his health. So with recruiting not being an issue he may actually be better in the NFL. |
