It's completely political. He challenged something that is interwoven into this society. PERIOD.

Dr. Claud Anderson describes a term "Deny and Neglect", which is what a large portion of this city and many others are using. Complete intellectual dishonesty to deny Kaep isn't better than at least half to a quarter of the STARTING QB's.

To cut you off at the pass...

I'm a Veteran, and his kneeling didn't offend me in the least. He never said any disparaging thing concerning the military. While serving I saw many service members run to their car, or stay in the building, or other things we did to avoid saluting the flag. So these Veteran wannabe's and hypocrites can miss me with that dishonesty.

I'm sorry, but I'm not buying it.  As I've said repeatedly, if that was the primary factor, some team would have signed him.  Seattle in particular looked at him and decided not to pull the trigger, and if there's any team that would be tolerant of his views, that's the one.  He left without a contract offer to contemplate.

It's not about challenging "what is interwoven into this society".  It's about him simply not being as good as some of you seem to believe he is.  If he was even close to your expert scouting opinions, he'd be on a roster.

At the end of the day, all this Kaepernick love is completely pointless. He's not coming here. You can howl and complain and throw baseless accusations out there until the cows come home, but he'll never be a Jaguar QB. Deal with it.

My dude, look at the guys who have jobs, is all you need do. We had BB5 as a starting QB and Henne as a back up.

Of course Seattle didn't sign him, they have Russell Wilson! Pete said he wouldn't sign him as a backup because he isn't a backup, he's a STARTER.

I'm mesmerized by the mental gymnastics people take to "deny" truth. I call it a little cowardice because grown men don't have the sack to just say, " BLEEP it...he's not on a team because he did _____". I could respect that.

At the end of the day, I KNEW Kaep wasn't coming here since he was released. This team and city doesn't have what it takes to make such a move. Forever destined to be a "cow-town". We couldn't risk players like Randy Moss, Warren Sapp, T.O., and many others either.

I appreciate the way this situation has awakened a lot of people such as myself. Wife asked if I wanted to reup my season tickets "heck no". Will only watch games bootlegged now. Not another penny to the NFL (or any sports league).

The facts are, he's not on a roster, and there is definitely a talent deficit for QBs in the league.

The precedent is that even the most reprehensible players wind up on a roster if they have the talent to be there.  We've seen murderers, abusers (substance and physical), racists, and others who have managed to land on rosters over the years despite their baggage.  This is no different.  The baggage may be a factor, but it's not the primary thing keeping Kaepernick on the street.

You can not tell me, or yourself, that Kaepernick isnt better than all 3 QB we currently have, and the vast majority of backup qb's in the league. Its just isnt possible to state otherwise and have a straight face saying it...

The guy put up good numbers when he played last year. There isnt anything to really use against him like the constant stinkers Henne or Bortles would put up weekly. He has always played pretty good football and the numbers support this too. If he was a bad qb there would be ample evidence of it....but there isnt because hes not.... Its a 100% blackball by the league and/or asking too much(which I doubt this late). You know he wants to be the starter and get starter money though.

I actually think he will get picked up this year though, not by us of course.

I don't have to tell you anything.  30 other teams have voted by their actions.  Either he's not a good fit for the offense they're running, or he's not better than the guys they have on their rosters.  My opinion is completely irrelevant.  The league has spoken. To date, only one team has offered him a contract, and he rejected it.

The guy put up pedestrian numbers when he played last year.  That's where the big flaw in your logic is exposed.  You're setting a low bar.

Injuries happen.  Options are limited.  So, predicting he'll get picked up eventually isn't exactly a risky prediction.

We didnt sign Nassib to be the savior dude is just an extra arm, and if Blake has us at 1-6 they would rather throw him in then Henne, we know what we have there, we will get a new QB next year, so stop crying over a 3rd string QB

Those "pedestrian" numbers is what our current QB's can only hope to obtain. The QB bar in Jacksonville isnt low, its just laying on the ground. We have 3 of the worst QB's in the league on our roster. Kaep is better than all of them by a good margin. Which again is like being the smartest in the special ed class, but still true. You know this, you also know he would be better than the vast majority of backups at the very least. Its 100% political and/or asking too much(which is doubtful the longer it goes). You say if he had the talent no one would care, look.at.the.numbers.of.his.career. and compare to some of the other qbs in the league. This argument is filled to the brim with logic and reason. Its easy to come to the correct conclusion based on the mounds of evidence that fit it and the complete lack of evidence that go against it.

I want a QB better than Kaep, there are none available right now.

See video above. We aren't wanting Kaep because we think he's the greatest qb. We are wanting him because he's the best qb available. He's way better than the chumps on our roster right now. Maybe nassib can be good. But he hasn't shown anything so far in the NFL. Kaep has. This is what we are saying here. You're not being honest with yourself if you say otherwise...

If the intention is to upgrade the position, and the goal is to do so long-term, Kaepernick does not represent the guy to fill that role.  It's not rocket science.  If he's only marginally better than what we have currently, that may placate the SJW crowd who is convinced he's only out of the league because of his anthem kneeling, but it fixes absolutely nothing.  He doesn't address the issue this team needs to deal with, which is actually upgrading the position permanently.  It's pointless to bring in a band aid that is barely better than what is already here because the playbook would need to basically be tossed out and dumbed down so that Kaepernick isn't asked to do more than he's capable of doing.

You want a QB better than Kaepernick, but you're arguing the case to bring him in, and all you're doing by going down that path is perpetuating the need.  The team is far better off to continue down their current path and look at their options once the season is over with.  It is what it is at this point.  There will be options available for this team, and they have the resources to land a true upgrade if they decide to do so in free agency when there WILL be quality QBs to pursue.  Kaepernick just isn't a guy that's worth bringing in for this team.

But not as a backup QB. For some reason teams have historically refused to have distractions as backup QBs. For most teams, like Seattle, that's an understandable reason not to bring him in. For a couple teams, maybe just us and the Jets, Kaep is good enough to be the starter.

I think it's a perfect storm of most teams not wanting the distraction of him as the backup, the Jets being in full tank mode, and the one team that he would start for that actually has aspirations of winning is led by the oldest and stodgiest front office man in the league who likely does have personal contempt for Kaep's actions. I do honestly think that almost any other team in the league that had Bortles/Henne as their depth chart would have brought in Kaep by now.

All you need do is look at some of the QB's who have a job.

All the other offenders you list, none of them challenged white supremacy or this countries history.

It's not about what's the best available right now.  It's about who is the best player to address the QB situation long-term.  Kaepernick is not the answer.
