But also because for my entire lifetime we've been told that the Earth is dying because of us and every single time the doomsayers have been wrong. The question you should ask is why you still believe people who are demonstrably wrong with their alarmist nonsense? If only you brought your Trump skepticism to the Climate Hoax! I am not calling anyone a prophet.  You are.  I am making a prediction about the future, yes.  But so are you.  Everyone is.  The difference is, I would be willing to change my prediction about the future if we saw new trends emerged.  If for some reason the planet started cooling while CO2 emissions remained the same or increased,  that would definitely make me revise my prediction.  But there is nothing that would make you revise yours.  That's why my prediction is scientific and yours is religious.

Also, it's true that liberals historically have tried to punish wealthy countries and subsidize poor ones as their solution to this problem.  That won't work, though, and it's not what I'm calling for.

When the messenger's attitude is restricting the delivery of the message, then yes, I do blame the messenger.  Believe it or not, I'm trying to help you here.  By the way, what do you perceive me to be avoiding?  I've never expressed any position on the climate change theory/argument in this forum.

Not odd at all.  Tone in writing reflects the author's attitude towards the subject matter or audience.  I believe most professional writers would tell you it's of huge significance.
