"Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to “get” Donald Trump.

That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City. This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction.

It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict.

In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court."

It's all true.

The prosecutor was elected on promises to punish Trump.  The judges are elected in partisan elections as Democrats.  But they aren't the only players.  There was a jury too, and the jury didn't have a dog in the fight, yet they were persuaded.

But I don't think DeSantis really wants to have that conversation.  I don't think he wants to talk about a partisan justice system, because we can easily turn that around and look at what he has done with Disney's oversight board, and his removal of various elected local officials, and with him ignoring his state constitution while he gerrymanders congressional districts.

Maybe Ron could have sat this one out.

You're so cute. You think those jurors weren't partisan?

Cause our soldiers and marines are on my side.

That's the worst thing that can happen. We need to get overwhelming turnout at the ballot box this year. There is no other scenario. It won't happen because American moderates are [BLEEP].

So war then?

I don't want it. I don't want my kids to have to take my rifle when I die and keep on fighting. But what other option when we see our country die.

Shut the hell up with war talk, any [BLEEP] clown on a message board calling for civil war ain’t it. You have zero idea what civil war looks like what it does to generations of families. You want a fight because trump is getting railroaded in a shame trail sit the [BLEEP] down and shut up.

People act like this the worse it’s ever been, it’s not even that bad right now.

Dude.. You have no idea how real people feel. And it's already established you want to appease the evil in the world. You're the left in a nutshell. Let me stick my fat, [BLEEP] head in the sand

It is that bad. A politicized judiciary is not what our founding fathers wanted.

This needs to be won at the ballot box..

Just like Trump said, you have to make it, Too Big To Rig..

To be completely honest? I think it's already too big for them to rig.

81 million votes for Joe 'Lyin' Biden and you think they won't rig it again?

Congrats Vladimir Biden on using the "legal system" to try to defeat a political opponent

The only thing I can do is hope that they take precautionary procedures against 3am ballot dumps. I might be giving the democrats more credit than they deserve, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they're not stupid enough to try it twice. Not going to say that there won't be any attempts, but hopefully the necessary precautions will be taken and they will be caught again, and this time, punished accordingly.

Who were they?

Andrew Warren, 13th circuit prosecutor, and Monique Worrel, 9th circuit prosecutor, and four Broward County school board members.

Note that in each case, Ron had ways to get the outcome he said he wanted without removing the official.  He can always authorize prosecutors to investigate and prosecute crimes outside their circuit, and he can have other agencies go in and install the door locks in schools that he wants.

Unfortunately the judiciary has been political since the beginning.  Though it has gone in cycles of being more and less so.  It's obviously more so now.

No matter what kind of selection process you dream up, partisans will come in and organize ways to make it partisan. It's what they do.

This is the correct attitude.
I'm not going to vote for Trump but I'm not going to wish for a civil war either. Americans solve conflict by voting.

There's still 5 months left give or take for this administration to pull more stunts. If the support continues to grow in Trump's favor, which it will, be prepared for something big to happen.

Bird Flu Pandemic to [BLEEP] with the voting system again.

9/11 type event on US soil to justify a crazy war.

Potential strikes taken directly at Russia and/or China.

Domestic terrorist group (really the FBI and CIA larping as right wing extremists) that starts conflicts.

This isn't over yet...

Ended up being a solid night for a social media purge. Easy to forget the snakes hiding in the weeds sometimes.

Take Tuckers advice and use this as an opportunity to take out the garbage.

I’m curious what the sentencing looks like, are the stupid enough to try and send him to jail? That would be the dumbest move from here.

Actually it won't. Independent polls something like 80% wont vote for a convicted felon and 20% GOP have said the same.

Even if only half of that is true he can't win.
