Bush was just the latest in a long line, and this hardly qualifies as a police state. Let's go easy on the hyperbole.

First off, it wasn't just Bush. Congress passed it, but Bush did sign the Homeland Security Act into law. And I still don't understand how sudafed has anything to do with national security.
But the real problem was the RICO act, a Reagan action that allowed confiscation of personal property without a trial.

Not sure if I should laugh applaud or frown.

The following article illustrates that Hilliary can be counted on to NOT follow the U.S. Constitution when it comes to Free Speech.  But it also has a sentence that I think demonstrates Obama's mindset regarding his 57 states comment:

The OIC is the second-largest intergovernmental organization after the U.N., consisting of 57 states that identify as “the collective voice of the Muslim world.”

I don't think Obama has much knowledge on the history and geography of the United States,   especially compared to most who end up serving as representatives in the federal government.   On the other hand,  because Obama spent much of his youth in Indonesia and that both his father and step father were Muslim's,   it's very likely that Obama was thinking of the 57 Islamic states when he made his comment a few years ago.    This sure seems like Obama's mindset.

David, liberals break out in hives if you bring up the M word and Obama in the same discussion.  It's right up there with birth certificate talk.

But, you're absolutely right that he wasn't really raised in an environment that was culturally American, and it sure as heck wasn't pro American.  People talk about him growing up in Hawaii.  They don't know the cultural differences in Hawaii from any other state in the union.  Hawaii is the closest thing we have to a foreign state, and he spent his formative years in that culture, or in Indonesia, immersed in a very Muslim lifestyle.  Watch Dinesh D'Souza's "America" to get a good education about how the president was raised, and it makes complete sense of how he governs and how he views this country.

His step father was a Muslim.  His genetic donor was an anti-colonialist Muslim.  His REAL father and mentor was a dedicated communist, as was his mother and his grandparents who helped raise him.

Read his biograpy (written by Bill Ayers, not Barry Soetoro).  Much of what D'Souza put in his movies was backed up by the books.  He really didn't have what anyone would categorize as a traditional American upbringing.

Regarding Hillary's assault on the Constitution, she and Obama are two peas from the same pod.  If every other candidate was murdered in order to get her elected to the office, she would be nothing more than a continuation of the current policies with an added level of corruption that would be unparalleled.

I don't claim to be an expert on Ohio politics or John Kasich, but from what I've read and heard he is the one I'd like to see as the Republican nominee.

lol. I guess your search for "a real American" continues. Good luck.

I guess this is how you have to respond when you really have nothing to refute the points with.  It's okay.  Drones don't need opinions.  Just talking points.
This "political" section of the board is going to be pretty entertaining when a Democrat wins the presidency in 2016. Like a slow, perpetual burn.

This board needs a genealogist and I guess you've jumped into the breach. Thank goodness. Please be sure to let us know when you find a politician who meets your strict requirements. It's probably something like the Nuremberg Laws. We're counting on you.

The funny thing is, you think you're  being clever here by trying to refer to me as a Nazi.  Considering the fact that your beloved Nazis were socialists, I'm fairly confident that the marching in lock step comments I made elsewhere apply more appropriately to you and your group think ways than they do to me.  You're just too indoctrinated to know any better.

1. You're not a Nazi. We agree on 0.24% of topics, but you're by no means a Nazi. There, now I've done my good deed for the day.

2. This comes from four years of studying political science and history: there was nothing socialist about the National Socialist German Workers Party. It was a fascist outfit designed to whip Germans into a racist frenzy, and any "socialist" ideas it incorporated early on were quickly abandoned in favor of an extreme fascist environment.
