Quote:Nick Marshall ? Why ?
He's a good athlete. They coached him at the Senior Bowl, will be interesting to see if he ends up here as a developmental guy.
Yeldon is really good in the red zone though, plus his elusiveness and the extra 2-3 yards he gets after a tackle. I think he's massively under rated on here.
We're only a half dozen picks away now.
Quote:I'm guessing he figures he'll be cleared of all wrongdoing in a year so that teams won't hold it against him realizing he legitimately is a first round talent with no reasons not to draft him early.
I think I have an idea as to what his play is. If he's not drafted, he can't go into next year's draft, but he can try and sign after next year's draft and, I believe, not count against the rookie pool. Given that he can definitely play and would almost certainly have been a first-round pick this year, maybe he figures that by sitting out a season and being locked out of next year's draft, he can land a contract closer to what he was expecting next offseason?
Like I said, if he really has nothing at all to do with this murder, I feel terrible for the kid. He just got hosed by circumstances.

he takes really good angles and is great at making people miss. all part of his excellent vision.

assuming he is innocent...

Assuming he is, yeah, but so far everybody and their mother (including the police) has said that he's not a suspect. "Not a suspect" and "cleared of suspicion" are two different things, and there's obviously a need to talk to Collins given that it was his ex-girlfriend who was killed with a kid that may or may not have been his. If he was involved, then he deserves to rot, but why would a kid who's about to make millions of dollars do something as stupid as kill/prompt the killing of an ex-girlfriend? To avoid paying a few thousand a month in child support?
Round 7 fixin to start.. Lets get it!!
Busta only needs to fall a little further for the Jaguars to take part in the current run of TEs. Starting in middle of the sixth round, we've seen the following TEs go...
194. Bills - Nick O'Leary
195. Browns - Malcolm Johnson
198. Browns - Randall Telfer
202. Patriots - AJ Derby
213. Packers - Kennard Backman
...and now the Jaguars at 220 (or 229) take Busta Anderson
I still don't fully see the need for the Jags to take a tight end with Thomas, Lewis, Harbor and Jensen on board.
Just watched the Bennett selection on NFL.com. Pretty sure they picked that guy because of his accent.
Really would like to take Holliman here in the 7th
I dont think a Jim Thorpe award winner has ever fell this far
Quote:still waiting for a small school pick
There you go
Neal Sterling from Monmouth
Neal Sterling, WR
6'3" 240, 4.63
Tight end conversion prospect?

I like how the scouting director said he'll be thinking of the third move he'll have to take while executing his first move. He's an artist on the field who may one day go down as a great. His upright stature scared draftniks away until thinking round three, but the way Caldwell explains it he's one of the three potentially great RBs this draft has to offer. I still think Ameer will prove to be another, but there's something special about Yeldon.
