Navyguy, it was a joke with me trying to be funny by saying the draft is over.
So they obviously said the other day they were dropping FB from the scheme.  I'm going to say with the TE pickups they're thinking to run even more 2 TE sets than we might have imagined.

Decent draft by the Jags. Now bring on UFA, let's get La'El.
This reminds me of the draft when we picked two CBs in round seven, only this time it's two TEs. Surely at least one will pan out like Demetrius McCray has.

Back to back TEs

Reminds me of when we drafted Jermey Harris and Demetrius McCray... Both had to compete for the spot and obviously McCray won that battle.

Competition!
"Bottom Line

Underutilized in the passing game while at Notre Dame. Strong understanding and execution as a run blocker with the physical traits to be a tough matchup in the passing game. Still raw as a receiver and will need more individual work with a position coach on the next level. College production belies his pro potential."

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">I liked Ben Koyack a lot, was hoping <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Broncos?src=hash'>#Broncos</a> would take him, that went out the window with the Jeff Heuerman pick. <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a> get a good one.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a> roster at 80 so room for 10 undrafted free agents. Last year, though, days after draft, moves made to create additional spots.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Any guess on the number of UDFA we end up with?

I've only got two beefs with it, and they're minor. One, I think an equivalent back to Yeldon would have been available in round three, freeing us up to take a guy like Eric Rowe at the top of two. That said, I think we got a solid safety who will surprise some people in four, and if we take a runner in three, we don't get A.J. Cann, which was a brilliant pick.

The second is that I would like to have seen a corner tossed into the mix at some point on day three, maybe even a corner/safety tweener, but day fifth-seventh round guys are such a crap shoot that I don't feel particularly strongly about passing the position up in the closing rounds.

Overall, I really liked this draft. We got immediate contributors in rounds one through six (Michael Bennett was a great pick), and a couple of developmental tight ends who have a lot of potential in seven. Wouldn't be surprised to see all of these guys make the 53-man, maybe Sterling hits the practice squad instead. The holes continue to be filled.
UDFA - there's some value at FS with Prewitt, Drumond and Eskridge still available. Ifo and Mike Hull also still on the board.

Not as many as past years. The depth is improving tremendously, and there won't be as many openings for UFAs to crack the roster. Maybe 15?

Indeed he can. You definitely called this one first.

I like all those guys. Curious who we can snag here.
I take it that Sterling will learn as Julius' backup and that Koyack will learn as Marcedes' backup.

I'm happy

I'm thinking somewhere around 10-12 maybe.  15 is definitely possible.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell says TE Ben Koyack will offer a lot of competition at position. Could keep five TEs!

O'Leary still out there?

Five tight ends plus five running backs and (presumably) six receivers is a lot of offensive skill players. I think four tight ends is likely with one of Jensen, Sterling and Koyack on the practice squad.
