Quote:STOP!  He ran from police officers drawing attention to himself.  That in it self was will warrant the police to question you.  If you are a convicted felon and have a knife on your person, that will warrant an arrest.

I'm not familiar with where it happened, but I know that case law says a police officer can chase you if certain circumstances exist.

Terry vs. Ohio -- Supreme Court has already decided on this issue.

All a police officer needs is "reasonable suspicion" that a person is committing a crime. Was Gray behind a business? Was he walking back-and-forth as he watched the cashier of a store? Did he appear to be targeting certain people to rob? If the officer reasonably believes, based on facts surrounding the circumstances, then he can stop and detain someone without probable cause. Should that person run, they are obstructing his investigation and can be arrested for nothing more than the obstruction.

It didn't appear that you need to know this, just posting for others that read yours and may not understand case law.
Baltimore Prosecutor Received Campaign Money from Freddie Gray’s Family Attorney

The Fraternal Order of Police lodge in Baltimore City is asking for Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby to remove herself from the Freddie Gray investigation and appoint a special prosecutor. On Friday, Mosby announced she was filing charges against six officers in the death of Freddie Gray.

Major WOW if true..
The Fraternal Order of Police also donated to her campaign.  I wonder if they see that as a conflict of interest.

So I'm watching CNN right now and one of the teens that was arrested for rioting and destroying and trashing a police car, his parents were being interviewed by CNN over the phone and they COMMENDED their son for his actions.. First the mother tried to play the "my son wasn't on his ADHD meds and he went into an episode", then she changed her stance and both the mother and father agreed with her son rioting and destroying property..

Pure trash...
What do you expect, they celebrate the "Thug" life in the music that they listen too

Narrative failure does not compute, commence ignoring.

And this is exactly why they have the problems they do in that culture.

Complete lack of accountability.

Sad, sad sad, but not going to change.
yawn this is the exact reason not to vote democrat

I'm not sure of the specifics in this particular case, but such organizations frequently donate to both candidates to cover their bets.

Can the mayor be charged with inciting? Is saying she mis spoke a " getouttajailfree card"?

Body cameras? All good except, who views them? There are privacy laws. So what good would they be if only certain authorities can view them? Think those who riot would take their word for it?

Why do some make this political? Are all the war dead blamed on all who voted Republican? That broad brush holds a lot of paint. Some of it, toxic.

Sad thing is...who would want to be a cop nowadays?

Elaborate please. " They"? Are you saying it wouldn't happen if Baltimore was Blacknomore?

So you are suggesting a city councilman gave orders to the police?
