One group has friends and family killed with little regard, one can try to understand the frustration...

Hold on to that victim card son it'll get you real far in life.

With a record like that, I'd say the law of averages caught up to him.

Well considering I was apart of the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq as an infantryman, used my GI Bill to pay for my college, and now I've bought a 120 acre ranch I think it's been my life experiences has taught me what really goes on. But good luck with being on the wrong side of history. I would love to continue but I try not to speculate as you do enough of that for the both of us.

That's rich you accuse me of privilege but you're not speculating.
Why are there no riots when black cops kill blacks, blacks kill blacks, or blacks kill whites? These riots seem to pop up only when a white kills a black. Are there other riots going on that the media is covering up? Do they only care about white on black violence? White on black violence is much more rare than the previous three acts of violence I mentioned. Almost seems like there is a hidden agenda going on, as if someone from the shadows is pushing for a war of "races".

Your avatar reveals your privilege.
I grew up in a part of New Mexico that was fairly privileged. I went to a high school that was upper middle class and mainly white. There were kids buying and selling pot, acid, mushrooms, etc. Some of those guys got popped by the police. None got more than an MIP,that was eventually wiped from there records.

As I went to college and in my professional life I've had 3 very close black friends. Their experiences I've had the benefit of listening to are worlds different from mine and my white friends.

I guess that's why I'm a little more empathetic when these news stories of police overreaction occurs.

Not defending the riots, but the outrage and protests are totally understandable, in my book.

So he deserved to get his spine severed while in police custody?

I don't think anyone insinuated that, but it certainly did save the state tax-payer dollars having to support  a career criminal in jail. In these dire times, it is good to look at the positives for a change...

Hey good for you.

Absolutely not, that's what is being lost in all this chaos is what happened, we don't know yet.

meh in the trailer parks it mirrors the ghettos so I guess it's not all whites that are privileged.

No doubt that class can play a part of it. But I think that's a discussion for another thread... But I do see your point. I'd expect nothing less, Eric. :-)

One question that needs to be asked is with a record of this size and magnitude,  why was Freddy Gray not in prison at the time of his death?
All I know is that the Boys with the M-16's are on the streets now..........

Just because you're arrested for something, doesn't mean you'll be convicted for it.  Freddie Gray wasn't convicted for most of those charges.
