Quote:They did a good job shutting down that TE as well, huh?

Sure, our D has some promising future stars on it, but they aren't very good as a whole right now.

Everyone knows we need a FS and about three LBs. What's your point?
Not sure about some of the sarcasm above.

This team does have some really promising young players. Caldwell has improved the talent/ potential on this team every offseason.

I think this team is poorly coached. I think some of the talent is suffering from poor development. It's why I don't understand some of the commentary that suggests that people like Fisch/ Mallory/ Babich etc, need more time. No, they don't. More time is only going to be a hinderance, not a help. Bortles, being the most important player that is suffering from the status quo.

Quote:I get a reminder from American Express every month that I am in fact a Jag fan.
Well then, with fans like you we sure don't need other teams fans coming to troll us. You probably should find some other hobby that will bring you more enjoyment.
Quote:I love how mad some people get when someone compliments this team.

I don't get mad....I hope we are going in the right direction, but year after year I put a lot of money in this team only to be met with disappointment.  I'll keep buying season tickets regardless, but at this time every year it gets frustrating.

The marketing department comes up with a new marketing ploy every year to sell hope to a fan base thats been beaten over the head for years.
Quote:I didnt make any prediction.  I said at best we'll have the same record as last year this year.

Ah! Now I see it. Thanks for the clarification.

They are not Jags fans.

This.  I'm not sold on this coaching staff.  There are pieces (Look at Tennessee, they dont have many building blocks right now) that could contribute to a good team.

It all boils down to the qb....I still have faith in Bortles, but we have to see some big steps next year.

Not sure how stating facts is trolling. Just because I don't use an opposing WR on the wrong side of 30's opinion as validation that we are getting better doesn't make me a troll. It makes me a realist.

Anybody who disagrees with your views is a troll apparently.

The english in my response to you was horrific.

Criticizing the team doesn't make you not a jags fan.  When we hear what amounts to pity praise and have to cling to the nice things people say about our team instead of seeing a good quality product on the field, it's just pathetic.  Unless you think we should just settle for this garbage and have the hope that we're getting better.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the ole realist response. Steve Smith is one of many PROFESSIONALS that has said the same. I wonder if you're the miserable wretch that sits a couple of rows behind me that complains the entire friggin game.

Am I supposed to think that comment from Steve Smith is supposed to make 2014 a good year now?

The Jaguars play has regressed from where we were last year.  Now I'm not a Jaguar fan?  That's some absolute stupidity.

Steve Smith can see the same thing I can.

You call him out for the realist response and then you use the tired "he's a professional!" response.

Probably not. Skipped most of the games this year and found more enjoyable things to do with my Sunday's. My season tickets were essentially a donation to the cause this yr.

Meh, I muddled through.
I rarely come to this side of the forum because it can turn toxic quick, but to say that someone isn't a fan because they are tired of seeing the quality of football being played is pretty pathetic.

I know a lot of people that have quit buying tickets because of the product, but I continue to do it.  I go to the games every week thinking we're going to win.  Screw anyone who thinks I'm not a fan.

Jags fans don't have a choice but to accept the fate of our team right now. I don't expect anyone to settle for anything. If it is not what you want to see quit watching. It's really simple, quit watching the team and please quit coming here to point out the obvious on a daily basis. Seems some of you have been taking the TMD school of posting.
Quote:Most professional and football types can see the young talent and know that it will come together for them, I know I can. Lot's of our message board know it all dweebs? ...........Not so much.

oh you're so smart compared to the rest of us.

please tell us Mr. "Football type" ... when will we have a winning record again?

I'm with you there, but I didn't quit buying tickets, but quit going to the games. When this team brings me more enjoyment than a round of golf on Sunday's, I will go back.

I, for one, enjoy coming here and reading people's critical comments of the team.   Means I'm not the only one.
