Quote:I hope this regime works out! But there have been no signs that it will. I'm afraid we will get in the Jack Del Rio carousel of firing position coaches until it takes 5 years to discover the main problem is the HC. Although, I do agree the ST and OC are God awful, the current regime selected these guys for the job.
Jason Garrett has fired a position coach every year since taking on the Cowboys. Seems to have worked out well for him huh?

Based on a quick search, looks like he has a career .557 record with 0 playoff wins.
Not exactly the franchise HC model I am striving for.

Glad to see you've missed this entire season.

Listen, I would love to have Jason Garrett as our coach, but this is the first year they have won their division (if that is even official yet). He had 3 8-8 seasons in a row.
Sure, i'd love to have an 8-8 season right about now, but don't think he a good person for the argument that Gus actually knows what he is doing.
Quote:Umm, have you heard Steve Smith post game interviews?
Point duly noted. He's never been one to give political nor canned responses to anything as I recall.
Quote:Why are you getting so mad? Covering TE's has been an issue all year. Watch the tape.
These numbers include all the opposing team's TE's numbers per game.
Vs Baltimore: TE's = 6 rec 99 yds 1 td
Vs Houston: TE's = 1 rec 25 yds
Vs Giants: TE's = 5 rec 55 yds
Vs Colts: TE's = 4 rec 36 yds
Vs Dallas: TE's = 6 rec 44 yds 1 td
Vs Cincy: TE's = 5 rec 36 yds
Vs Miami: TE's = 3 rec 52 yds
Vs Cleveland: TE's = 1 rec 5 yds
Vs Tennessee: TE's = 3 rec 57 yds
Vs Pittsburgh: TE's = 4 rec 47 yds
Vs San Diego: TE's = 3 rec 30 yds
Vs Colts: TE's = 11 rec 102 yds 2 tds
Vs Washington: TE's = 8 rec 99 yds 1 td
Vs Philly: TE's = 6 rec 92 yds 1 td
Looking at it, yesterday's game was the worst game against TE's since week 3. TE's haven't been "killing" us all year. In fact, our worst game against TE's was against the Colts in week 3. Our defense adjusted pretty well against them for the second game. But no, we can't look at any type of improvement can we?
Do we run a lot of cover 2? Is that why we're being burnt by the TE seam?

You mean where they developed their young talent (offensive line especially) the past 3 years then rode Demarco Murray like we did MJD? No I didn't see that. Hmm...

My issue isn't the young talent, it is the question of if we have the right coaches developing them. We haven't made any outlandish Gene Smith picks where other GM's didn't agree that they were good, so I think the talent is there.
Quote:I love how mad some people get when someone compliments this team.
It's truly mind boggling, ignore the haters.
Quote:They did a good job shutting down that TE as well, huh?
Sure, our D has some promising future stars on it, but they aren't very good as a whole right now.
Daniels had 4 catches for about 60 yards and 1 TD on a drive that was extended on a phantom PI call. The defense gave up 13 points to a top 5 scoring offense on the road. The defense is very good as a whole.

And the main unit where we're having problems is the offensive line, right? Where's the coach for the oline? Currently not with the organization getting treated for a disease. So the young assistant who wasn't expected to be the head oline coach has been there all year. So, no we probably didn't have the right coach there for that unit this season but there was a reason for that. I'd expect that to get fixed in the offseason with either Yarno's return if he's well, or by hiring a new oline coach.
as long as Bradley and Caldwell are at the helm, this team is going nowhere fast

Quality addition to the conversation. A+ post
Caldwell is going to be the best GM this team will ever have. Mark my words.

So what did you think about what Steve said about us?

A great point, I forgot all about that.
Quote:Our defense shut them down. McCray and Colvin are legit.
I feel hopeful about Aaron Colvin though he did make a couple rookie mistakes, he's also made a couple of great plays in the few games he's played since being injured. I'm on the fence about McCray he hasnt had an INT nor as many PDs as one would hope especially considering how good the Dline has been this year at getting pressure and stopping the run. Given the chances I wouldve liked to see McCray prove himself more this year along with Gratz.
Honestly hoping for a CB in the 1st round.

What are you talking about? He hasn't had many int's or Pd's because teams haven't thrown his way, he's been one of the better CB's in football since being inserted a starter a few weeks ago, I'll promise you 3 things, death, taxes, and the Jaguars not selecting a CB in the 1st round of the 2015 draft.
