So let me get this straight...


I am a long time season ticket holder, I take Sunday off of work, drive downtown, buy HIGHLY overpriced booze, cheer for the Jaguars at the stadium, then listen to the post game radio show on the 25 min ride home...


But I'm not a fan because I criticized the organization?


If that's the case, does anyone know a cheaper way of not being a fan?

I know they didn't record a sack. I know. They allowed 13 points to a team that was averaging close to 30 a game. The defense is good and still fighting as if they are playing for a playoff spot. Idk how much more I can ask of them. I love watching the defense play!

Let's get rid of the notion that the defense is good.  We are 28th in the league in yards allowed.  We are only good in comparison to our offense.  They are leaps and bounds ahead of our offense, but in no way shape or form could be considered good.  I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!  It's taken as gospel truth that the defense is so good, but I just don't see how we accept that.

It's highly possible that I have lumped you in to a specific group that does not apply to you. If so mea culpa. Does not change the fact that this thread was derailed by Jags bashers once again. It's pathetic to see my teams message board turn to the equivalent of the Times Union comments section under any Jags related article. It's not just one or two threads, it's practically every friggin one of them.

It's why I don't talk Jags football here.  It's doom and gloom here now and its well deserved.

 

I've been sold a false bill of goods the past 8 years with not much to show for it.  I watch other fans around me have a good time while trashing the Jaguars in their own city.  It gets old after a while.   Thats not whining, thats the truth.

You should watch the games man instead of the stats. The defense is fun to watch.

They are fun to watch because they sometimes make plays.  But we have been conditioned to treat an adequate defense at best as world beaters due to the crap we've seen in the recent past.

I hope this regime works out! But there have been no signs that it will. I'm afraid we will get in the Jack Del Rio carousel of firing position coaches until it takes 5 years to discover the main problem is the HC. Although, I do agree the ST and OC are God awful, the current regime selected these guys for the job.
