Quote:Learn to READ. Nowhere did I say "BORTLES IS SUFFERING FROM DROPS! HIS ACC WOULD BE BETTER IF HE WEREN"T!"
In fact I said the [BAD WORD REMOVED] opposite.
You were the one that brought up drops. Are we looking for creative new ways to find some positives. What's next Tony Khan is gonna crunch the numbers and let Paul Casey know that when blah blah blah happens Bortles is the best QB in the league?
Wow, Andrew Luck just threw a pick-6 in the Pittsburgh game, I guess now it's time to bench him. Am I right? According to this board Indianapolis must be needing to look for a good QB.
You put any QB under pressure, he's going to make mistakes. Give the guy a chance.

And I specifically said that we're
not bringing up the drops in his favors anymore. We did for Gabbert. We did for Henne. We don't need to for Bortles.

No, you fire Chuck Pagano for those pick sixes.
Quote:One of the problems is that they don't throw over the middle. The DBs on the outside know the route is staying outside the numbers. They don't have to cover the inside and can wait to jump the outside routes.
I'm sure Fisch would throw to the middle but it would have to drawn in the sandlot. Something like a fake double reverse, naked bootleg, two fake pumps shuttle pass to the middle. Fisch is clueless.
We ride or die with bortles the next three years. Is what itis
Quote:Yup.
Cam Newton
Big Ben
Andrew Luck
Joe Flacco
Matt Ryan
Russell Wilson
Andy Dalton
,,and probably some more I can't think of right now.
Granted, about half of those guys had much more talented teams around them. But, they looked much better their rookie seasons.
The good news is that there has been some very good QBS that had bad rookie seasons (Manning of course).
Logically speaking, you cannot "grant" the talent and then state that they looked better... It's a logic fail.
What you should have said is, "granted, those QBs had much better help and were propelled to elite status based on wins/loses that they really didn't deserve"
Let's face it, our team is based on rookies at all skill positions. And with that said, we are asking the QB rookie to do alot.
Granted that our D appears to be good, our rookie offense is not ready this year to be monsters.
I can deal with that reality.
And guess what...
That is the reality
Quote:We ride or die with bortles the next three years. Is what itis
I'll deal with that. He's clearly not ready for prime time. But he's obviously chomping at the bit to prove all of us wrong.
I'll take BB5 over any other young QB in this league.
I think we have a diamond in the rough

So did Luck respond by throwing another pick 6?
Oh wait a minute, he just got a touchdown! Maybe I was too quick on wanting to lose him. Maybe like a lot of people on this board. Last week Joeckel was a Joke and he was having a great game before he got hurt. The back-up didn't do very well. Just realize that this team is not very good and when mistakes are made, it makes it even harder to win when they do not have talent. Look at other teams in the NFL, do they have an all rookie-starting line and WRs? Do they have as many injuries as we have? The team is getting better, but it is just taking some time. Let's give them more time to make these rookies get better, because at least they're beginning to learn from their errors. BB will be ok.

That's right. keep making excuses and deflecting. That's what nut huggers do well. They hang on...

Did you respond before waiting 15 minutes to see how Luck would respond?
BB5 > Cam Newton
BB5 > Ben Party Boy
BB5 > Tannehill
BB5 > Hoyer/Manziel
BB5 > Geno Smiff (Jets QB)
BB5 > Orton (Bills QB)
BB5 = Alex Smith
BB5 = Flacco
BB5 = Stafford
BB5 = Ryan
BB5 = Wilson
BB5 = Keapernick
BB5 < Romo
BB5 < all the other elite QBs
And he's a rookie. He's gonna be good. But he won't become elite until he actually want to make that change. It's really up to him to get elite. He's better than any of the QB's we've seen so far. But if he continues to make the same bone head mistakes, he'll be a bust.
It's up to BB5 to decide
Quote:Better than Bridgewater.
Bridgewater has two TD passes this year.
C'mon man. Bortles has 12 interceptions with I don't know how many being pick 6's, you tell me. Bridgewater has two wins. He hasn't looked better than Bridgewater this year you're just rah rahing for the home team.
I'd rather have BB than what New York has right now. The talking heads on TV were saying maybe they should bench him for the rest of the year to get his confidence back. At least BB came back with the great pass near the end of the game to at least get it close. I'm not saying he's great, but really, it's his 4th or 5th game. If he's still making all these errors at the end of the season, then come back and say that he's a bust. But now, just live with it because he's better than our back-up who plays about a 1/2 a game well and then can't hit the side of a barn the other 1/2.

You usually get a little leeway on that when you take your team to the playoffs your first two years in the league. Are we headed there this year?

LOL, 10 points for the c'lots against the squeelers...
So what are you saying... :teehee:
Bortles post game said ' I'm killing us'. At least he's not delusional

So Bortles is better because he lit up the Steelers at home?

Have you watched Bridgewater play this year?
