Naturally it is disappointing to see the way Bortles has regressed the past 2 weeks. However, I still have confidence in his long-term potential. He will learn from his mistakes and his offensive line will hopefully improve significantly by next season. I expect a significant improvement from him next season with not nearly as many interceptions.

Quote:Have you watched Bortles?Yep. He has been better with less than Bridgewater.

Bortles has been a mixed bag so far, even for a rookie thrown to the wolves. I've seen enough good to think the mistakes could be part of the learning curve.
That being said, I have absolutely no faith in our fan base to objectively grade QB's. Especially on this board. My favorite all time moment here was a Moderator complaining about Garrard after he went for 4TD and O INTS in a road game against the Cowboys a few years back. That was a life lesson for me about not taking what is said here too seriously.

You and TMD (unless you are TMD) can join the Andrew Luck Fan Club.

Quote:Yup.
Cam Newton
Big Ben
Andrew Luck
Joe Flacco
Matt Ryan
Russell Wilson
Andy Dalton
,,and probably some more I can't think of right now.
Granted, about half of those guys had much more talented teams around them. But, they looked much better their rookie seasons.
The good news is that there has been some very good QBS that had bad rookie seasons (Manning of course).
Don't forget about a couple of rookie/young QB's that got traded way way to early in their NFL careers, because they didn't exactly get off to the best start for a young QB.
In case anyone forgot their names, they would be Steve Young and Brett Favre.

So...don't YOU wish and pray that BB5 gets to that level?
Or are you just a trolling poser on the Jags board?
Knowing your posting history I know what my answer is...

Let me explain something to you, little guy...
Luck is nothing to worry about. Just like big party boy isn't
34 points still doesn't win the game for your boy, luck.
So yes, I will laugh at you. Luck isn't a winner. He isn't someone to worry about, just like Ben party boy isn't someone to worry about.
If we really do have a great QB on our side, we'll dominate our division for decades.
But even if we don't, our D will destroy Luck. He's not a Peyton Manning. He's not Dan Marino. He's not John Elway.
But go on, twist in the wind. Most guys that have watched the NFL for a long time understand the ebb and flow of a team.

LOL, how bout that Ben rapist? He's lighting up that c'lots...
How bout that andrew luck, he's just a mediocre QB.
Pit just dropped 50 on a c'lot team that couldn't really do anything against us with henne as the QB.
And we made Rapist Ben look like a pathetic QB
But yeah, I guess Luck is the next coming of P. Manning.
Oh wait, maybe he's not. Luck is just another QB. He's not the going to dominate like 4-head. He's just not that good.

He couldn't even keep up with the squeelers!!
Ben rapist is a washed out QB. The JAGS shut that dude down. And they are lighting up the c'lots
10-26-2014, 07:40 PM
Big ben has no accuracy, and yet he's throwing down 50 on the c'lots.
The Jag's would beat the sqeelers if they were playing against them this week.
Matter of fact, Ben party boy probably would be IR'd after our game...
But yeah, Luck is so great. He can't even keep up with the most mediocre QB in the league.
Oh, and luck just intentionally grounded!!!
LOL, luck is a joke
