Quote:Hopefully when he does improve we dont let him go and then attempt to develop a new LT.

Fixed.
Soft, no nasty streak, gets whipped every other play and is likely a mega bust.  Other than that, he's great.

Forget Eugene Monroe, this guy isn't even as good as Marilyn Monroe.

Badum.....Tsssssss
Quote:That was a weak draft to be honest, but no excuse for his play
^^ This

For the limited number of starts, he is solid.  The line has work to do but they will get better as they play and learn together.

What games have you been watching. Luke isn't playing well at all, not for the hype he got and what he is supposed to be.
Can he play corner?

Elite LT

hes been pretty good

I agree with those that say he looks soft. And that was the biggest negative on him coming out of college. He has no nasty streak. I think all of their linemen now look soft. Pasztor has a nasty streak but that is it.

I remember in the Coughlin glory years, you'd always see Boselli, Widell and Searcy mixing it up. Same with Barnes, Naeole and Manuwai. This group is weak,

Nice.

Yep....and all that kind of stuff.

I did notice Linder take a guy to the turf with some ferocity last week, but yeah, on the whole this group is lacking that fire.  They are really, really young though.  Maybe a couple of them will come around.  Joeckel has to step it up though. He's getting pushed around way too much for such a high pick.

No Marilyn was very good at sucking.  :woot:
How many sacks has he given up
I'm about 5 games away from throwing around the bust label. Patience is running out with the 2nd overall pick for me.

He's been horrible outside week one. For all saying it's basically his rookie year, I remember Monroe as a rook stoning Freeney when we played them. And Freeney was better with the Colts than what he is now. If you're a top 5 draft pick you just be a stud type player out the wrapper. He was the best tackle in college two years ago and he shouldn't look like this. Excuses need to stop with what is going on with this organization.

I'm not going to pretend I've watched him extensively this whole time.   But I did notice some plays early on this year where ... well I kept my mouth shut.  Anyway, it looks like he's very open for criticism now.  I don't see any reason he can't respond positively as the season goes on into 2015 season (which is the holy grail season ... right???)

Then he will leave in FA

You have a bad memory. Freeney schooled Monroe the first game of 2009 and didn't play in the second matchup.
That Kid is as soft as a Cotton Ball.
