With Bowanko, we've already seen more attitude in just a few weeks than we have in a year and a half of Joeckel.

Agreed again, but he's still only played 10 professional games. I can't bury the guy just yet.

Another guy most draft pundits and GM's were high on, just like Gabbert that could become a flop. At what point is this franchise just doomed?

He's definitely not showing his value of the 2nd pick.. By now he should be all IHOP..

I think we should be seeing him progress game after game - at the very least...
I will give him the benefit of the doubt for the majority of this season, but we better see SUBSTANTIAL progress towards the end of the year.

Joeckel is also coming off a broken leg.
I think theres going to be additional time before he gets back to his "normal".
I haven't given up on this player.

He had his best game on Sunday, not sure what all gibberish is about...
Seriously, in whatever profession/job you guys/gals are in - were you experts at it in your first year of doing it? Be serious. You weren't. And you probably weren't being compared with or competing with the "best of the best" in your field, as NFL players are every week. There's a learning curve involved in any career. It's flat out stupid to deny it and to expect that there won't be ups and downs along the way.

I not only agree with this but again, combine it with the fact that Joeckel is coming off a broken leg last year. People assume its a seamless recovery, but its not. It takes time for players to get back to their "normal" coming off of that injury.
I remember Mike Quick actually never did seem to fully regain his old form after breaking his leg, but thats unusual. Usually it just takes a bit of time.

I missed the majority of the game unfortunately...

couldnt catch up to the defender trying to make a run block so he went to the ground and rolled up on the side/back of the defenders leg.

Badly...

Sorry, but he's been a wasted pick... What was he, 2nd overall?
There wasn't a better player we could have gotten? Was it a BAP pick? Hindsight would say no...
And clearly he wasn't a need pick...
Just awe full so far.

To be fair, a lot of people considered Joeckel the top prospect in that particular draft. Hindsight is 20-20. Joeckel looks like he has stayed out of the weight room since being drafted, because he just gets pushed around way too much.

Quote:Any GIFs or breakdown of the play? Not sure if they are coming, but it was a pretty bad play. You could tell he was going for the clip... I don't think it was malicious, he just knew he had no other option and took the lazy way out... In my opinion.
