Quote:And patience and vision is why he is Khan and you are not.

He's been patient already.

If we don't turn this around, being patient isn't helping this franchise.

If other franchises turn things around in 1-2 years, what the heck is he supposed to be patient for??

We can be patient as long as the product on the field is better.

Let's say our record isn't great but we are getting sooooo close week in and week out.

A game like today makes it seem like our entire team didn't even have a training camp.

What ever.  Khan is no better a person than you, me, or Mowerguy.  Just because he's a billionaire doesn't make him better than us.

If Khan isn't frustrated with the last 2 weeks of football, he really doesn't care about the Jaguars and is just a business man.  And if that's the case, I have even less respect for him.  I have a feeling he's pretty frustrated about what he saw out there, as he is just as invested emotionally in this team as the rest of us.

Strategic planning is a long view investment. The knee jerk every week garbage on this board is chock full of terrible business strategy for either the NFL or real life, and that's why most people vent on here; because they aren't capable or qualified to do anything else but whine.

I don't see much knee jerk here actually.

Nobody is calling for Gus to be fired today.

People are fed up though and are expecting better than this garbage week in and week out.

If we win 4 games this year and get blown out of 7 or more games, do you think that warrants Khan to stay the course and be patient?
At this point it's no point in kicking a man while he's down in Ole Gus. I'll let him continue to hang himself because he's doing a swell job at doing so.

It's the same knee jerk, week 2 of the season, with a dozen things going on that aren't long term. Again, what were you expecting? This is exactly what I knew the early season would be like, but no one wants to hear it, they expect a miracle for something that's more like physical therapy. You don't just get up and run when half the team isn't walking yet. But, it's the coaches, owner, coordinators, qb, not playing Bortles, cheerleaders, mascot, Culligan commercials and anything else they can blame the losing on. We knew this would take time, yet no one has the patience to relax and watch it happen.
Quote:I will not lose faith until he has a complete team to coach and we lose like this consistently. We are starting rookies all over the field. Last year our o line were veterans and played solid. Now center,RG and RT are newbies and they suck.
Lose like this consistently lol, we only won some games last year because we played teams that were even worse than us lol
Quote:Then you should probably find something else to do with your Sundays. They've repeatedly said they were taking this build slowly and not playing Bortles. Maybe you just haven't been listening to them to expect something other than what we all knew was coming this year?
People that are OK with what is showing up on Sundays are foolish.  This team isn't even NFL caliber at this point.  And how do you have 2 off seasons and get even worse then 2 years ago?

People who don't understand what they've been repeatedly told by the organization are pounding their heads against a wall that isn't going to move.
Quote:Man handled?  That has to do with young rookies going up against grown men.  I did see blown coverages by a young secondary that is missing one of it's leaders.  Talent and experience matters.
How do you explain the defensive front 7?  That's supposedly the strength of the team?  They got man handled all day.  They even got owned by the Skins' backups?  The excuses on here are pathetic.
Quote:OK.  Not sure where I said getting blown out was ok.  There are a lot of issues with this team right now and I don't think changing the coach is going to help, it's to early for that IMO.
People should be losing faith in Gus and Dave at this point.  The talent level isn't looking improved (Beadles is a complete bust so far) so that's on the GM and the team isn't prepared on Sundays, that's on Gus and he is starting to look like an inept leader.
The fact that our Dline doesn't look good scares me.

Quote:And patience and vision is why he is Khan and you are not.
lol great vision so far, this team is headed to the first overall pick in 2015, is that the goal?
OC is horrible but add that with Henne's ability at the QB position and you got a recipe for disaster. Gus shouldn't be blind to the fact that the Offense affects the whole team

You're hilarious, I'm sure there's somewhere else you can post your smarter than everyone else comments.

At the end of the day, what happens on the field is a result of management and leadership of and on this team.  Their play reflects the head coach, coordinators, and assistant coaches.  Heck, it reflects themselves.  It reflects their preparation or lack of.  It reflects the talent level of the team and the GM and whole recruiting staff.  Yes, this is Gus and Dave's second year.  However, it is an absolutely fair observation at this point to question the talent on the team and preparation and develop the coaches are doing.  Where are the leaders on the coaching staff?  And where are the leaders on the team?  I can think of Poz and that's about it?

The Jags were pretty miserable last year but we all knew they'd need a solid off season to make some improvement (even if slight).  So, where is that improvement?  No one is expecting the Lombardi trophy but what we've seen the last 2 weeks is surely fair below what one should have reasonably expected.

Relax and watch us get worse?  Man you're drinking the kool aid.

I didn't expect to lose by 31 points against a team that finished worse than us last year. My mistake I guess for having unrealistic expectations.

Please tell me, what are your expectations for next week? Lose by 40?

If I'm upset if we lose by 40 next week, will I once again be just unrealistic?
Bradley is fine.  Caldwell is the one I am starting to worry about.  How the hell did we not add some more talent on the OL?  It's an abomination right now.  And don't tell me about Alex Mack.  Missing out on that doesn't mean that you can't go and get something other than a converted guard.

The problem is people got fooled by only losing to the eagles by 17. The Jaguars looked like they should have lost that one by 40 or 50.

That's the disconcerting thing. Gabbert, gone. Gene Smith, gone. Team still looks like the worst team to take an NFL field since the inaugural season Bucs.

How's Bradley fine when the Jags were totally unprepared for RGIII when he ran?  They looked so lost.  It's like the Skins were running an offense we had never seen.  These dudes are not prepared when they show up on Sundays.
