Someone hit the head on the nail with the consistency thing. Bortles has been consistent in every game he's played this preseason and I kinda feel like if he were to start a full game he might put up 300+ yards and a TD or two. That's something we haven't seen in jax on a consistent basis.

Like TMD eluded to with Mike Evans....my biggest thing from Manziel was just the throw em up balls that in the NFL will be picked off 90% of the time. He had some impressive college passes but he also had his fair share of the below.

Yep, to be honest the more that we tally up the negatives regarding Johnny Football (the above/ small & frail/ off field concern/ et al) ......what in the hell were we thinking (those of us that wanted him here).....did we just fall into the hype trap???

The most sombering comparison is RGIII...Manziel was drafted based on his scrambling//extending the play ability but you can't//shouldn't fall into that trap when it comes to the NFL.
If Manziel relies on his running I feel it will be RGIII all over again except with a lesser prospect.
The bold is the biggest to me...you can overcome some of the others ala Brees//Wilson but you have to put in more effort than others behind closed doors.
I think the partying can definitely be linked to his current struggles.
Speaking of Bortles.....since Henne is starting week 1, does that mean he'll probably sit in game 4 (Thursday) and Bortles will get the Youmans work?
Or will they instead only play Bortles a little and play Morris and Stanzi the most?

Bortles has shown all he needs too...it should be Morris//Stanzi the full game.
