Quote:THE HORSE update:
vs Cowboys: 4 Carries for 2 Yards !!!
Season: 59 carries for 154 yards = 2.6 yards per attempt.
To reach Eric Dickerson's 2,105 single season rushing record, Horse would need 750 more carries over the next 6 games (assuming 2.6 YPA).
Lol! You killed me with the Eric Dickerson numbers lol
Cut this guy. Another mistake let Storm play.
Quote:I hope he can average 65 yards a game to get 1,000. Because if he can't, he definitely was not worth the money.
Not worth the money? You genius!
Dude, I could imagine the conversation after his failed third down 1 yard attempt.
Gus: Slowby, you think you can get this yard for us? It's 4th down...
Slowby: Yeah coach, I'm going to power my way in there
Gus: Alright, I know you can do it, go get em son!
Slowby: Sorry coach, they were too strong
Gus: That's ok, I saw a lot of positives, you will start next week.
You ruined it....
Gus is fed up

Yea who cares about Toby? this thread should be replaced with a "how bad the o-line is" thread. i disagree with people who say a good runnin back will make something out of nothing, its just not true, its one guy fighting 11 other guys, he needs some help hahaha.

He runs straight up and stops before he hits the line. He has no head of steam when he hits the line. SO of course he is going to go nowhere.
I had high hopes for him but now when I see its something and one and see him in the backfield I know there is no way we are getting that yard.
Since the Jaguars lost yet again yesterday, might as well jump on the "I hate Toby Gerhart" bandwagon. Here's my 2 cents worth. Let's see here, where do I begin..........ok...........the REAL REASON the Jags lost yesterday was NOT because of Blake (let me pass to the defense) Bortles, but rather because of Toby Gerhart. After all, he carried 3 times and really should have had close to a 100 yards. But instead, he blew it once again and THAT's the reason the Jags lost. OK, what else can we blame on Toby Gerhart? How bout I overslept this morning a half hour and was late getting out. Damn you Toby for causing this. My coffee was not as hot as it normally is and that's because of you Toby............how dare you do that.
You people that CAN'T STAND Toby Gerhart are so full of it that you blindly look the other way as to the REAL REASONS the Jags are 1-9. Does his salary really tick you off that much? Of course he's not having a standout year that many hoped he would, but does that give people the right to demonize him and call him out on every fricking play? Bortles has had some bright moments but he has also "singlehandedly" LOST games and yet i fail to see the majority here throwing that guy under the bus so easily as you pile on Toby Gerhart. You people that hate him.............you got your wish...............IN CASE YOU'RE NOT WATCHING.............HE DOESN'T START ANYMORE. Denard is THEE feature back so surely you all must be happy about that by now. But no, that aint enough, you gotta crucify one guy for the disaster this team has become. Might as well be Toby Gerhart huh?

I don't think anyone truly hates your son, we just think he's a waste of a roster spot.
Nobody is piling on poor Toby........we just wish he could move the pile......just a few inches would be acceptable.
talk on this team is soooo cheap! Either put up or shut up Toby....
Quote:I don't think anyone truly hates your son, we just think he's a waste of a roster spot.
Lol. People have Stockholm syndrome on this board. We've been hijacked by such va play for so long they think they are trying hard and eventually it will get better bc Gus And company said so..
The Jags could pay me Gerhart money to get 2 yards on 4 carries. Hell I'd take league minimum to do that
No one hates Amelia. In the interviews I've read with him, he seems like an all-around decent guy. He's just not an all-around decent football player. He's the type of guy that, if you need two yards, he'll get you one. If you need half a yard on fourth down, he'll get stuffed for a one-yard loss. Maybe a role as more of a blocker/receiver at fullback or H-back would suit him better, but as a running back, he certainly appears to be a lost cause. He's not the reason the Jaguars are 1-9, but if he were half as good as advertised and picking up even 3.5ypc, the team would be in a much better place.
If nothing else, his failure has allowed D-Rob to emerge, so that's a plus.
Earlier poster hit the nail on the head.....he gets the ball and just kinda hits the first defender and stops and goes down.
It's weird.
Last week against bungles he had a few carries.....this week....not so much.
Same old slowby.

that would explain a slot WR, who played QB in college, gained more yards in 2 games with the SAME line than Slowby gained all season, right?
Quote:Damn Toby went off yesterday.
4 carries 2 yrds.
if you cross your eyes, and squint really hard it looks like 40 carries for 200 yards... So there's that...

Lol I actually tried it....and it worked
