I just dont get his line of thinking. We drafted him and then made him one of the highest paid running backs at the time. If anything, he didnt live up to his contract those past two years. He doesn't deserve to be in the Pride.
Always the victim, Maurice said this.
"It's a business, and they're moving in a different direction, and I get that," Jones-Drew said. "Players are asked to be loyal, but the team has never been loyal to you. I led the league in rushing, my foot breaks and I come back out of shape to do the best I can to help the team.
"I gave them eight years. And then they just wash their hands of you."

So he's happy getting LESS money from Oakland? Interesting.

When? And by who?
Please pay me millions of dollars and wash your hands of me.. You'll never hear a word from me..
He really needs to stop it crying, he was beyound terrible the last 2 seasons.
What a tool. Maybe he'll make an appearance at midget wrestling during a Sun's game.
Yeah, definitely ruining his legacy as a Jag. Disappointing. Whelp, I'll be sitting in his seats next year so there that!
Dudes mangina is hurting badly. Give me 35 million and you can slap me in the face as you kick me out the building and I'll be telling you thanks.
He admits he showed up out of shape? How is that showing loyalty to the team? He had every opportunity to maintain his conditioning by staying here in Jacksonville to rehab his foot. He went home and got fat. Then he comes back, never drops all of the extra weight, and now he's whining that they didn't respect him enough, or show him adequate loyalty by hanging on to an out of shape running back on the cusp of 30?
He may be using this as motivation to come back and show he can still be explosive, but Oakland is going to wind up realizing exactly why the Jaguars made little to no effort to keep him around.
There's a good and a bad way to break ties with your old team. MJD has chosen the wrong path twice now.
MJD has fallen off the train and he has fallen hard.
I think he might have hit his head.

This whole "chip on the shoulder" thing he uses to motivate himself was cute when he was a rookie, but at some point he needs to grow up and accept the reality that this is just a business. If the team wasn't loyal to him, his little holdout a couple of years ago would have been the end of things. They let him throw his tantrum, and then let him come back to work, paying him handsomely in the process for nothing but injuries and less production. During that time, not once did the team take any shots at him. They understood it was a business decision to hold out, and they also knew they had the upper hand. They showed class. He's shown not so much.
There's no loyalty by either side. It IS ALL business. Get hurt, flunk physical. Cut. You 're used up and dispensed. Players realize that and play for money first, love of game second, loyalty to fans, city, etc third.
Owners in for ego, money and ego again.
Russell Allen is a prime example of why a player gets what he can. He knows the risks, but assumes them.
I'm pretty sure once he moves on, he won't get many calls from Khan to see how he's doing.
Mojo may be whining and putting himself in a bad light here... But for the most part, gave his all for a team that was a consistent bottom feeder.
Time for him and the local fanbase to move along.
I remember at one point people was saying he was better than Taylor and was gonna set Taylor's record. Haha
He was never better than Fred and was never gonna set Fred's rushing record.
It's gonna be hard for him to run with his panties all bunched up in a wad like that!!

Lol! This upset you guys? Smh......
He's a Raider now. A Raider.
Nothing else to be said.

I don't have a problem with what he said. In fact its a pretty accurate account of what happened. Just don't see who expected him to be loyal.

Its not upsetting, its just annoying that he says such dumb Shmidt
