Quote:Well we will know for sure in about 4 1/2 weeks.

Yeah, I can't freaking wait.  Is it really 4 1/2 weeks?!
Quote:Hey FBT....whats the matter? I answered your quote to me with this......then for some reason, <crickets> ......

I wonder why.... :whistling:
This is your great rebuttal?  Dude, it's not even worth responding to because it's simply that idiotic.  You're getting more and more ridiculous in your desperate quest for attention.  Your parents really did a number on you growing up.  I envision shackles and a nasty basement.
Quote:People seem to be under the impression that the QB we draft will start day 1. We are looking for a DEVELOPMENTAL prospect to groom at QB. Whoever we draft will have ample time to iron out any flaws and weaknesses he may have.

People seem to be under the impression that QB's will automatically be better if they're given time to develop.  Some of us don't believe Jimmy G will develop into anything, even given time to develop.

sorry 3 1/2 weeks.

Its (4) Thursdays from today.
Quote:Honestly, TMD, that's one of the stupidest arguments you've ever made, which is probably why you hear nothing. Why won't Carr be selected #1 overall? Well, because there are probably 25+ players objectively better than him currently, not to mention team needs not accomodating a QB selection.

He's the 4th best QB in this draft, IMO. But that doesn't mean he stays there over his career.

His genetics have less than nothing to do with it.

I'm not saying that Carr won't just be avoided by the Texans at 1. They won't select him at ALL, as in he's not even on their draft board.....and with the Carr bloodlines being 90% of the reason why.

Oh yeah?

so they gave you the gm job this year?

That's cool you can finally move out of your parents basement...I know they're so proud of you

Yep. Had the Texans not had the whole debacle with his brother, David Carr would still be on their 2014 draft board, still low of course, because he's barely draftable, but there nonetheless.

I think Carr gets drafted either by the Vikings or Raiders.....which makes perfect sense, given those 2 franchises futility at the position over recent years. He'll continue that tradition.

Garoppolo will be a Jag at some point in this draft.

Gee, you only have a 3% chance of being wrong.  Really stepping out on a limb there.

Imo Garropolo is a project. You should not get those guys before the 4th round.

Thanks for giving us the low down on the Texans draft board. Didn't know they had taken Carr off the board.

lol

Although I have no doubt he'll harken this post at some point in the future to pat himself on the back for being right here, it's really not about being right or wrong in this instance. It's about saying things that get the most attention.  When it doesn't get the response he wants, he whines about it.

He craves the attention.

Case in point.  When he was previously banned, he would go on a PM rampage with several posters, including myself.  When I didn't respond to his PMs, I got this:

Seriously here....why aren't you answering my messages? I didn't do anything to you. Are you mad at me for our busting/ joking around on each other on the board? I never thought you of all people would take that stuff seriously.

WHat gives, man??
When I didn't respond to this PM, I got a message from another mod.  TMD reached out to him to ask him if I was mad at him because I wasn't responding to his PMs. It comes across like some 13 year old obsession.

Half the crap glitter boy puts out there is intended to do one thing: get attention.  I'm convinced he doesn't believe half of it, and only posts the stuff he does because he knows he'll get responses, and this somehow gives him some sense of validation.  Pretty sad.  Pretty pathetic.

Genuine lol.

They sent him their draft board for approval.

And you continue to provide the validation via your responses.

People like our very own GM.

Quote:"With this QB class, I think they're going to need a little bit of seasoning and to sit back and watch for a little bit," Caldwell told reporters on Monday at the NFL owner's meetings in Orlando FL.
Quote:The way I think about it is this.

If we get a QB at #3(presumably Teddy or Johnny), they'll start first day. the quicker they get acclimated the better.

If we get a QB in the second round or later(everybody else), they'll sit for half the season and then come in to 'save the day' after Henne implodes.
Even if he's a first rounder.

Quote:"That's the approach we're going into it," Bradley said when asked about sitting a quarterback for a year, even if it's a first round pick. "Now if we can create that environment, we can just see similar to Seattle. I know Matt Flynn was the quarterback. He was the guy. Russell Wilson got drafted, came in and there was no expectations on him being the starter."

"Because of that world it gave him a chance to compete and put all of his energy into competing and you saw him progress very nicely," Bradley continued. "Not that that's the model to follow after, but there is one example of how it can work. If it takes a year, it takes a year. That's why we signed Chad Henne."

I'm a sucker for charity cases.

I guess it keeps content flowing on the board. I, myself, have no such inclination to provide him with a response. Best of luck to you.

If our GM believes that a QB sitting and developing him will automatically make him better, then we're in trouble.  However, I don't see him saying that.  He said that this draft class may need some seasoning -- that doesn't mean that he sees every QB as someone who will develop given time to sit.  He may like Garopollo.  He liked Matt Scott too.
