Quote:Could be wrong here but i believe the regular season rec was 14-2 with a loss in the AFC Champ game, all 3 losses that year were to a team i will not mention but a team that we all hate.

14-2 regular season, 15-3 combined.

Plus ''never will be'' he's kinda like that Bret hart phrase. But the complete opposite lol
  maybe 5-11.

"Youre not even a has been, youre a never was"

Name the movie
Rocky?
Sounds like something Mick would say anyway..
I still see the jags going 9-7 this year.

I like your enthusiasm Wolf and the great thing is that in this league, more than any other, big turnarounds are possible.  Look at KC last year.  So, I hope you are right even though it's a bit hard to imagine at this point.  Can you imagine how loud Everbank will be if the Jags are playing for a playoff spot late in December?  Smile
7-9

Quote:The same song as last year, and the year before, and the year before.....................we're better than last year! Yeah, maybe we are but until we see it on the field it's only hope. What have we done up to now that convincingly proves it?

Let's see, Blackmon is suspended, Joeckel is coming off an ACL, we have no pass rusher, we have a has-been QB, our best RB is gone, our center is retired, we've signed a few FA's who were let go by other teams, whoopdy doo.

I can see us building, but to say we're a 9 win team based on the personnel changes is nothing more than hope. We would have to go throughout the entire season without losing any starters to injuries for that to happen, and that ain't happening.

Someone need to go smok'em peace pipe'em
Our improvements on the D Line alone should give us a ton of help, we actually have a real pass rusher in Clemmons.

I like your optimism, but I don't see where the 5 additional wins are coming from.  A softer schedule helps a little, but it takes a huge roster upgrade (especially at QB) to make that kind of difference.
I have to see the draft first before i predict the win total
9-7 is a realistic expectation after barely winning 4 games last season.  I will have to see how Dave drafts first.

Hope springs eternal they say....well, I like your optimism.

I hope this is sarcasm, otherwise you need to look up the word "realistic."

I think he's serious. The team need time to rebuild. Ending this season with a winning record is too much to hope. What I want to see are improvements are both sides of the ball, the record is not important.

How is a 5 win improvement realistic on the strength of a single draft?  There's no Andrew Luck this year, especially at #3.
id say 8-8 around there

I am saying 4 - 12...we were lucky to win he 4 games we did last year so this could actually be an improvement...are people forgetting that 2 of those wins came against the team picking #1 in the draft and IIRC not one win came against a team picking out of the top 10...we need to stop acting like we some how beat some good teams or took some good teams to the wire...we were blown out a lot again last year...

We have a lot of holes, a terrible QB, and a tougher schedule (as of now).
