Quote:I am saying 4 - 12...we were lucky to win he 4 games we did last year so this could actually be an improvement...are people forgetting that 2 of those wins came against the team picking #1 in the draft and IIRC not one win came against a team picking out of the top 10...we need to stop acting like we some how beat some good teams or took some good teams to the wire...we were blown out a lot again last year...

We have a lot of holes, a terrible QB, and a tougher schedule (as of now).

As of right now (pre -draft) I agree with the above assessment of this being a 4 win roster.

Even after the draft I don't see us getting better than 5 - 11 and if everything goes 110% right and we have quite a few lucky bounces 6 - 10.

Until we get "the" guy in here at QB we will continue to be a bottom dwelling team...oh sure some teams can get lucky and make a run for a year or two with a game manager at QB (ala the Seahawks)...but it is the teams with very good to great QBs that stay competative and in the hunt year after year.
0-5 or 1-4 ? Not sure if reality just hit or what but I'm seeing 3 wins. 1 vs Titans and 2 of the following Skins Titans Phins or 1 decent upset (browns, texans). Why does every team look so difficult !!

OK so we should be scared of the Redskins?

The Texans x2, the Titansx2?

We should be scared of Cleveland?

The Dolphins?

I actually think this schedule is way easier than last year's....

The Texans suck man. So do the Titans. In this deep draft, we can catch up somewhat to the Colts (they have only 5 picks IIRC and no 1st rounder).

Not saying we should be favored in any games, but I'm saying that we can hang with all of these teams.

I don't think we'll win fewer games than last year but I could see us with another 4 win season. I'm thinking we'll fall somewhere between 4 and 6 wins so I'll take the average and choose 5. I've been overly optimistic in past years. Hopefully I'm not being that way again. What say you?

Yes. The Texans and Browns both have better drafting positions then us (cleve 2 1st rounders then ahead of us in round 2) --- both had injuries. I'd trade our roster right now for theirs in a heartbeat.
3 wins

Titans

and 2 of the following ... titans, phins, skins, 1 upset

Not by a wide margin. We have 11 picks and we got a lot better on defense through free agency.

Our roster this year is way better than last year, and we have 11 picks to count on.

Don't understand the doom and gloom outlook. Our schedule is easy all things considered.

4 playoff teams from last year, none of which made deep playoff runs.

We're not playing any of the "unwinabble" teams (SanFran, Seahawks, Broncos, Patriots)...

But you go ahead and be scared of the Redskins and the Texans and the Browns, lol.

Teams that finished worse than us or teams we already beat last year, with a much worse roster than this year.

I could see anything from 4-12 to 8-8.

With solid drafting this season next year could be a big jump for us. Coaching of those players would be a big factor too. I would love to be able to add a pick or two in next years draft during this years draft. I'd love to be one of those teams that consistently has 9-10+ draft picks each year.

Of course what you do with all those picks matters more than simply having them. Blow the picks and it is all for not.

I voted 4...but could see Hurricane's prediction being true too.

3, though if we draft a Rookie QB and he's ready to start, it could easily be more. If Clowney drops to us, it could also be more.

Edited to Add: If Blackmon comes back then probably more too.

I do think we'll be much more competitive in games week to week, I just don't expect many more wins than last year. I need to see it on the field before I'll start believing. Been fooled too many times before. Or fooled myself.

I agree with Jaguarmeister.

Some of us have been on here long enough to realize the difference between offseason predictions, and on the field play.

Can we wait until after the draft to whine, Nancy?
9-7

how many times do I have to tell you all jags will go 9-7 this year.

I will repeat it again 9-7.

Bump up top. Can we put a sticky on this please,I am very confident jags go 9-7.

I voted six. 3-3 in division, either Skins or Cowgirls, Dolphins and an AFC North team.
Before the draft? It's like guessing the win total for next year.

I will go out on a limb though and say that the Jags will win no fewer than 0 games and no more than 16 during the regular season. :whistling:

:thanks:
