He was the best QB alive going into his Pro Day and he did everything to confirm it. JFF is light years ahead of everyone else.

No. If we take him, that's fine, but I'm not going to change how I feel about a guy based on a pro day.

He means better than Brady, Manning, Rodgers, ect.
Lol

It hasn't changed where I'd personally rate/draft him.
However, what it has changed for me is the surprise factor.
I was surprised his went so well and generated so much theater.
Therefore, if someone falls in love with him and selects him higher than I expect him to be taken, I wouldn't be surprised

Quote:Yup, see Matt Jones...Matt Jones problem wasn't on the field, it was off the field. He was a productive player for some time.

This is a good year to have two first round picks.

We have that?

Pro days mean nothing. I like the fact that he decided to throw in pads. I think it's pretty cool and speaks to his confidence which is a good thing but what he did today means nothing in terms of evaluating his arm talent.

Quote:I am a fan of Manziel and if I were making the pick I would take him before any other QB available.....
However, like I have said in other topics, I still think these guys aren't day one starters and I don't think we have a strong enough team (i.e. Seattle or 49ers) to hide their flaws while they continue to develop.
So while I am happy with his pro day, I still don't think he should be taken #3 overall. But if Dave does decide to go with a QB at #3, then I would prefer it to be Manziel.
You have your supporting cast teams that hide the flaws of their QB (I.e. Seattle & SF), but you also have your QBs that carry their team (I.e Brady, Luck). Manziel has a good chance to be on middle ground & eventually getting that "elite" tag. Time will tell.

You mean every year..
I think Manziel is actually going to do well in the NFL. If we draft him in the first (hopefully trading down) then I think it'll change our entire draft. They'll way over load on the offensive side of the ball to make sure he doesn't fail. We were going heavy on the offense anyway, but with such a risky pick they'll draft positions for insurance. It's a gamble but Gus and Manziel have enough confidence and ego to ingnite the town into a frenzy.

Manziel is all about the show, and that's what today was. He put on a show, but it didn't really show me anything new, no pun intended. He's going into the NFL to entertain. Not so sure that's the right place for a Quarterback's head to be.

No he is still my 3rd choice, Bridgewater, Clowney then Johnny

I thought it was obvious that I was referring to this year being an exceptionally good year to have two first rounders.
