The trade was fair, let it go.

I guess Jinjo hasnt clicked on this thread!

500 points from 3 to 5 is somewhat extreme, and the point system isn't used anymore so it isn't really a good guide.

Loooong wait until im up.

I have news for some folks... hold on tight to your teddy bears...

The real Jaguars MIGHT trade pick three...in real life just like old Jungle Cat did in the make-believe draft.

NFL Draft 2014: Jacksonville Jaguars open to trading No. 3 pick

The Super Bowl is in a week, but for the 30 other teams not playing in the game, their focus has now shifted from trying to do god in 2013 to trying to get better for 2014. The primary ways to build for the future is to draft well in April and part of drafting well sometimes means moving the current pick you have.

Jacksonville had a rough season this year, despite turning things around late in the year. They’re sitting with the No. 3 overall pick but general manager David Caldwell is saying the team may not stay in the that draft slot for long as they’re open to trading it away.

Per Michael DiRocco from ESPN:

“I don’t think where we’re standing right now that we’re dead set on going in any one direction, whether it’s trading up, trading back, staying where we are and picking,” Caldwell said while attending Senior Bowl practices. “There’s going to be a lot of options there with the third pick.

It’s still way too early to tell if teams will be moving around, but the Jaguars are a team to keep an eye on. With Johnny Manziel likely to be on the board as well as prospects like Jadeveon Clowney and Teddy Bridgewater, the Jaguars could hold the pick for ransom and make out nicely like the St. Louis Rams did when they traded the RGIII pick away in a deal that now has them picking twice in the first round this year.

Draft speculation is starting to build as the season comes to a close, and that includes speculation of who may trade up or down. Erik Lambert recently put out a mock draft with some possible trades over at NFL Mocks and it made me think about some of the people who suggest the Jacksonville Jaguars need to trade down to accumulate more picks.

2014 NFL Draft: Jaguars open to trading No. 3 pick

The Jacksonville Jaguars currently hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but according to general manager Dave Caldwell they're willing to deal that pick if something comes along.

"I don't think where we're standing right now that we're dead set on going in any one direction, whether it's trading up, trading back, staying where we are and picking," Caldwell told ESPN's Mike DiRocco. "There's going to be a lot of options there with the third pick."

So while some so called Jaguars fans are crying boo-hoo and making me out to be a horrible person, throwing racially motivated hate-speech (in real life), draft charts, and wooden shoes (even) into the mock draft process, I rest my case.

Man this has been a crapshoot.... Isn't there a time limit on these things?

Twelve hours per pick.
Hey Jungle Cat. I will trade you Eric Fisher and my first for your 1.
Are we still waiting on Cleveland to take Manziel or Bortles?

That's the kind of thing that makes trades outlandish.

Besides that it ain't enough jack...how many cases of steaks you got? I need the Omaha stuff. KC ain't rare enough.

I'm waiting on two cases of Château Le Al 1984 to arrive from Oakland.

I like bulk!

I think so. SilentJaguar has them.
Anybody happen to notice the charter member of the Teddy fan club took St. Louis instead of the Jaguars? Then took Jake Matthews?

Nothing fishy with that. No, not at all.

We should have time slots for each pick.

1- Monday 00:00-12:00

2- Monday 12:00-24:00

3- Tuesday 00:00-12:00

4- Tuesday 12:00-24:00

Etc. that way you know when you'll be on the clock. If you are unable to make a pick during that time you can send a list if pending picks to someone else to post during that time.

In my 18 team fantasy league this method has shortened our drafts from 5-7 days to 2 days.

Yeah, maybe next time around somebody could assign a time to each pick then post that with the draft order.

You should be able to do anything you want to with picks as well. If you want to trade. Trade.

They don't seem to have much security around this place.

but what if you want to draft right away and dont want to wait til your alotted time?

Quote:but what if you want to draft right away and dont want to wait til your alotted time?
If you're on the clock, you can pick at that time, no need to wait until your slot. Instead of assigning all 96 time slots, we can assign 10 to 15 at a time (5-7 days) then assign the new draft slots based on where we end up.

I would suggest having 6 hour time slots, three per day. 6am-noon, noon-6, 6-midnight as the 12 hours would slow things down considerably if people pick ahead of time.
What we really need is one topic for the picks.  And for the picks to be announced in that topic.

I'm sure Cleveland doesn't even know it's their turn.  They may not even know it's started yet.  It's all very confusing.  The year I remember participating in, it was very organized and worked well in this format.

if peoples pick is close they can send their bigboard to someone to pick for them
Has it not been 12 hours? Let's pick up the pace
