I think you missed the part where he's referencing the Foxconn deal, though that is more a criticism of Soctt Walker than Trump.

Trump and his Trumpettes seized upon it as proof of winning, as evidenced by the original post in this thread.

Not bad numbers considering there was a partial government shutdown essentially the entire month, eh?

Trump inherited a recovering economy and somehow managed to not muck it up. Good man.

Obama inherited an economy at one of its lowest points in modern history and never managed to squeek out a 3% GDP in 8 years. Just simply getting out of the way could have accomplished that. Good man.
Does that mean George W Bush and the republicans were the worst government in history?

If they were CEO's of subprime lenders, then sure.
I see so the economy isn't about who the president is?

I can't keep up.

Regulation and taxes impact job creators which impact spenders which impacts the economy. So, is it about WHO is president? Not necessarily, but obviously their policies have a direct impact the economy.
So the lack of regulation by the Bush economy brought it down.

So you want more regulations?

Regulation works in some areas while not others. It isn't black and white.
that's the most sensible Post I have ever seen you write.

Actually George W. And Democrat majority. Presidents can influence the economy with policy as much as Congress can sink it with out of control budgets and legislations.

Some people don't understand accounting and the cumulative effect.

Example:  Jeff Bezos took Amazon's retained earnings to $16.6 billion.  If he resigns and Joe Smith takes over as CEO and takes their retained earnings to $17 billion by 2020, then some people think Joe Smith is a better CEO than Jeff Bezos because he is able to achieve greater heights than Bezos.

...  Ride the Momentum !!!

I get it. Obama's economy was just ramping up to that 3% GDP and historically low unemployment for 8 years.

How could I have missed it?

A Bezos and Obama comparison? Jesus.
The 08 recession was CAUSED by intervention and regulation (Fannie & Freddie) not the lack there of.
Not great but good speech last night. If offered up unity and a way forward together. His transition were atrocious. However, I specifically like how he offered up policy that was bipartisan and yet the Dems still sat on their collective hands. The oh so subtle call outs to the Socialist gang and to Pelosi were classic! Kirstjen Nielsen mean muggin' Pelosi all night should open the doors to a pay-per-view fight!
How about future Democratic presidential hopeful shaking her head to stopping drug cartels and human traffickers? Not a good look.

Most Americans understand why she was shaking her head.
