And no, it's not anti-corruption at all.
Pardons are supposed to be rare and unpredictable.  They're supposed to be individual acts of mercy.   So while it's not "anti-corruption," it doesn't have to be pro- or anti- anything.

He saw that Blago was railroaded by Comey and McCabe, the same people who manufactured the Russian investigation based on fake evidence. I guess it makes sense that when prosecutors have been shown to be willing to subvert the law and put politics before justice then anyone they previously convicted should go free.

Or maybe he just wanted to rub it in Obama's face.
I've referenced his fragile ego previously, but honestly, I'm pretty sure it's most threatened/triggered by Obama's presidency

It's what helps leftists sleep at night and keep them from going even more insane than they already are.

Blago was caught on tape repeatedly demanding money in exchange for a Seante seat.
Trump said, "Russia, if you're listening, please hack the e-mails of our former secretary of state."
So you're making a pretty good comparison actually.  They were both pretty brazen.
And they both deserved the attention that investigators gave them.

That's a flat out lie.

So typical of you Leftists, and exactly the stuff Comey and McCabe did.

Whose emails was he referring to?

Not sure where you see he asked Russia to "please hack" anyone's e-mail. As you usual you twist facts to create malicious intent.

Lol.  "Find" things on someone else's password protected computer.  But don't call it hacking!

He was joking to show the media’s hypocrisy in looking for the truth. It doesn’t require one to hack Clinton’s computers to find the emails because they’re already presumably on the dark web since it was ALREADY hacked.

Also, you misquoted him to misrepresent what was he said. You said he literally said “please hack” when he didn’t. It isn’t even an presumption to his meaning since the emails were already stolen.

Trump asked a foreign adversary to "find" something belonging to the US government that was not for public consumption and was stored in an electronic format.  I call that hacking.  Not apologizing for my vocabulary! Trump wouldn't.

Lol you are very confused about the timelines and the number of servers being discussed.

No one has ever claimed to have the full set of Hillary's emails from her time as secretary of state.  No one has ever claimed to have hacked that server. The government has compiled the emails Hillary didn't delete, and the ones that others received from that server over the years, but not everyone who got emails from her cooperated.

The server that got hacked was the campaign server, which started sending and receiving emails a full 3 years after the server that Trump was talking about when he asked if Russia was listening.

At least you admit that the word "hack" wasn't used and that you lied about it. Clinton's server was already bleach-bitted and then destroyed at the time of Trump's statement. There is no possible way to "hack" a server that doesn't exist.

This is not to mention that Trump's statement was intended as a joke. You Leftists are totally clueless to the concept of humor. That's why the Leftists running Snopes still can't figure out that The Babylon Bee is a satire site.

Lol.  You assume to much.
I love Babylon Bee almost as much as the onion.
I've laughed at a few of Trump's jokes.  He can be genuinely funny at times.
If "Russia if you're listening" was a joke, it wasn't funny.  But that's OK because he didn't intend it as a joke.
My God.  Trump said that after Hillary's server was scrubbed.  You know, when she said "with a cloth or something"?  Hillary's server was intentionally wiped with software to intentionally hide the contents.  The bottom line is she broke the law and got away with it.

Trump's comment was in jest because the national media was trying to downplay what she did.

The only reason Russia was mentioned was because at the time the left (including the media) was pushing the "Russia collusion" lie.

Leftists like mikesez just can't handle the truth and have the need to make up lies.

You're being obtuse.
Trump was hoping that Russia had managed to break in to Hillary's closet server and download everything before it got wiped.
Many people were hoping or assuming someone had done something like this.
She did break the law and get away with it.
You're genuinely frustrated by that.  I am as well.  So was Trump.  He wasn't joking.

It not like it's the first time you've changed the meaning of a common word to suit your agenda. We pretty much expect your "the sky is green because I say so" argument.

You can say that again! <--- That was a (lame) joke. Please don't actually take me at my word and say it again. Apparently you need these things pointed out to you. Are you sure you're not JDub?

So you now admit you knew that the server was beyond hacking. A falsehood is not a lie unless the person who said it knows it was false. You knew what you said was false. Q.E.D.

But the bigger problem is that the Leftist media (which includes just about every newspaper and TV news show) tells the same lies that you have been telling, and clueless millions believe them.

I took Trump's statement as a joke, because that's the way it was said. But even if it were not a joke, the worst you could say is that Trump was asking Russia to return stolen property.

Again, you are "rewriting history" or giving a false interpretation of what happened.  How do you know what Trump was "hoping for"?

He was in fact "joking" because at the time the media (and you leftists) were pushing the whole "Russia collusion" hoax.  That failed so it moved to Ukraine, etc., etc.  You have eaten it up hook, line and sinker.

He never "asked Russia" or anyone else to "hack" anything.

It's a pretty airtight story.
Trump asks Russia to get some emails from Hillary.
Within days, they get some emails from Hillary.
Not exactly the same ones, but real honest to goodness emails from Hillary nonetheless.
Pretty weird coincidence huh?

Wikileaks posted the DNC server E-mails on July 22nd, and Guiccifer 2.0 released them in June. The hack had to be before that. Trump''s joke was made on July 29th. Assange claims that Russia was not the source of the leak, and he had no reason to lie about that. Seth Rich who had access to the DNC server was killed soon after the release if you want to make a big deal about a coincidence.
