Quote:I don't think we draft him. The main mantra in last year's draft was to go after guys "with juice" and who "Love football".

How do you know Clowney doesnt love football? Because he sat out one week due to injury?
I'm not saying he doesn't love football, I just think the attitude problems will scare away a head coach and general manager who made all their hires and roster moves based off a "get better" attitude.

Better chance than not that he's wearing a Jaguars uniform next year. Can't wait

Agreed.
If the Rams were interested in Clowney they wouldn't be shopping the pick already. They are one of the few teams in the NFL that can afford to pass on him.

The only way anyone trades up to #2 is if Bridgewater is still on the board.

I'll just put that on the "Not Going To Happen" list

i dont see Rams taking Clowney because they want Matthews and if they trade the pick Atlanta will trade up with us for Matthews. I bet Rams and Falcons have Matthews as the number one player on their bigboard. The both need help badly to protecy their franchise QB.

Falcons would be more than happy to take Clowney as well. They can address their OL in other ways and need a pass rush desperately.

If the Rams take Clowney which I dont think they do, i bet Atl. woulx trade up to get Matthews. I think Rams stays at 2 and takes Matthews though.

Unless we tricked the awful Browns FO into thinking we might take someone they want, and they offer two firsts to the Rams. Rams would still get Matthews at 4.

well then I think would get Clowney. What I am saying is I think Clowney will be the pick unless the Texans get him. Clowney is who I hope we get

unless Atl. offers up a nice deal and we dont like Clowneys issues, and Dave likes Mack, Barr, Manziel, Carr, or Bortles!

So you like Clowney so much, but don't think anyone would want to trade up for him? I think you are overrating the Rams interest in Matthews. Especially when Fisher has been vocal about disliking the spending of first round picks on the O-line.

Per Rotoworld :

GM Les Snead "made it clear" Sunday that St. Louis is "open for business" with the No. 2 overall draft pick.

The Rams have an extensive history of trading down and stockpiling picks under Snead, and hope to do so again with a choice that could easily turn into Jedeveon Clowney, assuming the Texans draft Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater at No. 1 overall. Per King, Snead would "like to get an extra first-rounder out of the deal if possible." Snead would obviously love for another quarterback's "stock" to rise ahead of the draft, perhaps Fresno State's Derek Carr.

1st of all I don't think this happens. But, if it does. We either get Clowney or the QB who rises their stock tremendously to be considered the 2nd overall pick. So WIN-WIN for us IMO

So we either get Clowney or the next Blaine Gabbert? Always BEWARE of late high risers.

The Rams would be stupid to pass up on Jake Matthews. I don't see them doing it.

"High risers" is just the media being too stupid to realize players from small schools are good during the year. They wait until after the year to talk the the scouts, and finally are told about them. Then they declare those players as "fast risers".

And are often guys who are major reaches and generally turn out bad. Just ask the Jaguars/Vikings/Titans.

Blaine was the number 1 pick in many of the early mock drafts... Locker was always hyped up too. Ponder was the only pick considered a reach.

QB fever is a killer of franchises.
