It ticked me off that the networks never even showed that TD on the highlight shows....I know the Jags lost, but if its a HIGHLIGHT show, 67 yard TD's shouldn't be omitted.
I blame the NFL agenda to only report./ show negative stuff about the Jags as the reason.
It will be so sweet to stick it to this league and overcome and turn into a SB winner despite them doing everything in their power to prevent it and keep us down.
Quote:Hah, I've noticed as far as evaluating talent goes, we definitely see eye to eye on a lot of things
Probably has something to do being exposed to a lot of other teams in addition to the Jags
But yeah, Jimmy Smith was never a physical guy. I don't think there's a receiver we've ever had that we could compare Jimmy Smith to
While Smith was not comparable to say, Irvin, in terms of a physical style of play, I think physicality was an underrated aspect of Jimmy Smith's game.
I remember games against Terrell Buckley and Fred Smoot, for instance, where Smith muscled them around the entire game. It was almost embarrassing for them.
He had a knack for getting deep and could get separation with the best of them. But there were times where he could get physical when needed.
Blackmon, however, is far more physical than either Smith or McCardell.

On NBCs highlight show, they didn't even reference the game at all.
If we end up with the top pick, we'll see ESPNs producers heads explode as they try to figure out how to cover the top pick in the draft without cutting to commercial because the Jaguars are on the clock.
Shorts played the first four games before Blackmon and still didn't get a touchdown before him. I know who the best reciever on the team is regardless of stats. They compliment each other well so it's good to have both.

If we don't trade some picks - they'll have to air an info-mmercial during the 5th round.

This is all that should matter

They'll probably air a Frank Caliendo skit during the first ten minutes of the draft
This guy is shifty, gets off press coverage, fights for balls, and has the Hands of God. I think he might just be my new favorite player. Can't wait till we get a new QB! Go Jags.
14 catches 190 yds!!!
I remember when I was flamed for saying he was better than Cecil over the summer. Hah!
Is a monster. That is all.

Without question he is. Blackmon plays outside and inside. Imagine if he was a 4.3 guy????
Yeah, through 2 games he's gonna be in the top 20 or so for receiving yards, just imagine if he had been playing from week 1. I can't believe when people on here suggest to put him on the trade block or this and that. Having a legit QB is going to make him look even better. He's not even a burner either.

Also I've been saying how lethal he is in the slot. He has the versatility to play inside and out which is such a weapon in itself. I think we need another weapon at the WR spot and we will be set. I would try and get Denard more involved.
he seems to be playing the slot which really reduces what i planned for ace who is not an outside guy,
looks like it will be shorts and brown outside , blackmon and ace in the slot
still think we need to look for another deep threat but still sensational is the best word possible for Blackmon today bringing in that td would have been a just reward
Yup and I love how he is being used, putting him in the slot and moving him around is how he was used at OK st
He balled out today. All credit to him. Im glad we finally have a coaching staff that realizes he needs to get most of his work in the middle.
Does anyone know the franchise record for catches in a game?
JB is amazing.... i love how silent all the people are who thought we needed to get rid of him.... stupid tools have nothing to say today.

Somebody on twitter posted 16 for Keenan mccardell and 14 for Jimmy Smith so Blackmon 15 right in the middle
