So tired of people defending this un-skilled Pee Wee League player. Bortles has no ball control nor Pocket awareness..... Period!

fixed.
Quote:If you watch him play, you know he certainly can throw a football. What he can't do is force his receivers to catch the ball every time it is in the right place at the right time.
He throws one of the worse, wobbly, inaccurate passes in the NFL. His poor passing motion is what leads to the wobbly pass. The wobbly motion of the ball moving through the air leads to a less accurate pass. Of course, throwing directly to a defender which leads to a quick 'pick six' is more of a poor mental game than poor mechanics.

All in all, he is just plain not very good at the pro level. His stats (not the 'garbage time fluff') bears this out.

I'd blame the pick six more on the pocket collapsing and him getting hit as he threw which will almost always be a wobbly pass.  The other pick Arob should have caught, or at least batted down instead of trying to double catch.

The first INT was definitely on AROB.

The 2nd INT (Pick-6), yes there was pressure affecting the play. However, Bortles never saw the defender there at all. Wilcots went on and on about that. It would've probably been the same result regardless, as Bortles was going there all the way without seeing the defender.

The fumble was definitely caused by pressure. Although, Bortles dropping the ball low like he does didn't help matters at all there.
The first INT was just unfortunate that it popped up like that. It wasn't a drop though. Harris Jr is one of the very best corners in the league and Arob had to go through him to catch the ball on the other side of Harris' body. That's not easy at all. Should have been a back shoulder throw like they paired up on so many times last year.
