You abused a dismantled Texans o-line and think you are the AFCS favorites now? right after losing your best (read: only) WR?

Yeahhhhhhhhhh you guys are totally set...... I'm sure just stuffing the run and letting Bortles sling it all game wont be an easy game plan for EVERY team the rest of the year......

Let me guess: You are a Titans fan who joined the board to talk smack with us.

If you watched us play in 2015, you know Allen Hurns is a very good receiver. If you watched us play in 2016, you know Marqise Lee is not a bad receiver either when he is open and a pretty good kick returner as well. Oh, and if you watched your own team play against us, you know Lee also score by throwing on a trick play. He was our leading receiver last year and managed to stay healthy all season. As for Hurns, he went over 1,000 yards in 15 games two years ago as the starter opposite Allen Robinson. He struggled for the same reason Robinson did last year: Blake Bortles regressing as a passer.

Did you watch #27 on Sunday? 155 yards on 26 carries is not an accident. He earned it.

Can you at least get our own team's stats right before you try to trash talk please? Fournette rushed for 100. The team rushed for 155.

He got exactly 100, not 170+. 3.8 YPC is BELOW where you want your RBs to be. with such a "blowout win" on "the back of Fournette" he didn't really have to do very much. Texans gave you guys the game in turnovers and had tissue paper at LT

Y'all need to chill

Actually I was exaggerating with the 155. Of course I know it was only 100. Big Grin But what makes you think Fournette did not have to do much? We are not known for being great run blockers. Fournette is obviously an upgrade over Yeldon between the tackles.
no argument there

Not really, most of us are pretty realistic actually. I have known the past couple years that the Tarp Kitties could be dangerous if they bothered to start trying.

You are kidding yourself though if you think that Cows team you saw this past Sunday is indicative of what they were last season. Whether the Harvey stuff was a big distraction or they are just not good anymore. Which happens in the NFL.

We have learned not to read too much into a first week victory. In 2014 and 2015 we started the year with "dominant" win. Only to end up being the worst team in the league each of those two years.

The Tarp Kitties moniker is outdated. A few years ago more sections became available for NFL games and we sold a lot more seats without getting any blackouts. Titans fans have to know that by now if they aren't hiding under rocks. And if you know we can be dangerous, you also know we actually do try to win because of what happened during their last game at Jacksonville.

Do you put much stock into a first week loss?

It's almost like you've completely forgotten that the first time we played you last year we were up 27-0... at the half..... on national TV.
We whooped you far worse than you whooped us last year

FYI Gus Bradley was the HC and Greg Olson was the OC in Nashville. Both were gone by the time your team came down here. Now we have the same HC and OC who controlled the rematch.
Welcome Tacks fans! Can someone hold my beer while I fetch the friendly tack fans a couple of caprisuns?

He comes back to this stadium with the fresh memory of getting broken here last time and having just witnessed a ten sack game by the guys that did it to him.

Jags win in a blow out 42-10.

I'm wondering how many Jaguars games Titans fans actually watch because both teams usually play at the same time.
Did someone say QB ?

Okay Tarp Kitties, in the interest of fairness I went back and watched the condensed game you had with the Cows. Maybe The Hammer was missing something, maybe the Tarp Kitties are something special.

I would suggest though you guys try watching that game again, without the homer glasses.

The whole game came down to god awful OL and QB play by the Cows. The line was horrible with both pass and run blocking. Tom Savage, to make matters worse, holds the ball too long and cannot evade the pass rush. Watson then looked like a raw rookie making his first start. The Tarp Kitties offense was able to feast a bit on a very tired Cows defense but it was nothing special. Fournette looked solid but again, nothing special.

It will not be nearly as easy against the Titans offense. Mariota gets rid of the ball quickly and can evade the rush. He can also burn you with his feet if you over pursue, unlike Savage. The Titans still have one of the best OL in the NFL, which had the league's best OT. Put behind that Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry and you have a very different offense from what you saw with the Cows.

Not saying It is a lock for the Titans, it should be competitive. If you think the Tarp Kitties are a lock to win you are fooling yourself.

Matthews gets locked up Colvin then concussed my Jack. Jack also concusses Walker. 4net truck sticks through the 28th ranked defense and puts up 160 2tds on the ground. Blake tosses another 2 tds and 270 yards. Yannick has 2 sacks and Malik has 2 with Fowler forcing another 2 fumbles. Campbell adds another sack and a half

Jags win (again against the tacks) 32-13. (Myers misses a field gold and 2 extra points lol)

i'd say something about wanting your QB to get hurt BUT WE'D RATHER HE STAY IN AND KEEP PLAYING  Laughing Laughing Laughing
I don't want him toget hurt. He's just soft and seems to get knocked out the game and he plays us.

It appears that Tennessee Tampons fans sure do have a fragile ego. Must have got you shook if you are coming by to beat your chest.

Okay Thumbtacks fan, how do you explain our TOP domination in the first half? I know our OL is not special, but defenses don't get tired early in the game. I would say we feasted a lot, not a bit, on the Tinhorns defense. And we did it with Leonard Fournette more than anyone else because that was the game plan.

Derrick Henry is nothing special. You probably ignored all of the offseason chatter about Calais Campbell during the free agency period, in which he was named one of the best UFAs. He is the real deal no matter who is playing against him. Have you ever watched him play with the Cardinals? Also, Abry Jones is an upgrade over Roy Miller. That's why we re-signed him in the offseason. I know he is not going to be elite, but Tacks fans probably underrate him.
Our home game against the Titans last year was our best game all season. Mariota had to come out of the game but I can get used to our D causing QB issues for the other team. We should be a confident bunch and have a reason to make noise.

Forgive us for being a bit skeptical. Jags have "won" free agency the past several years.

Maybe you should borrow some glasses and watch that game again.

Savage got rid of the ball in less than 2.5 seconds on all but two of his reps. Perhaps you didn't notice the number of incompletions forced by the Jags LBs and Secondary when Savage actually threw quick accurate passes?

Here. This will help your hillbilly brain figure it out (don't worry - there's lots of pictures) :

Be careful, there probably are female Titans fans. And there certainly are at least two Jaguars fans on the board.

You know what happened to those free agency victories?

They became history. And so did most of their coaches.

But the GM remains....

but he no longer decides who is on our roster. Tom Coughlin has done a great job trying to make up for Dave Caldwell's misses.
